Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

They said they were from the IRS I said  I will have my lawyer contact you .After I said this they hung up on me

The caller informed me that I was being audited by the IRS. She could not speak english clearly. told me I had one hour to take care of this . She stated that I had been over paid by the IRS from 2008 to 2011. She said I was being recorded and that I should not interupt her if I did further action would follow.She then gave me a warrant number and stated that I wasbeing sued by the IRS.

Tried to get me to go online and get me to paid as if he was an IRS officer

Have received several calls stating IRS and money owned. The IRS does not call only by mail. Don't send anything to these SCAM artists.

I just received a call from a Vancouver, WA and I'm in New Mexico.  Stating they were from the IRS audit department.  They new my old home address and even said I could be arrested.  When I told them I wanted to verify this information and I wanted a toll free number to call back on, he hung up on me. I tried calling back and they blocked my number.  They called me 4 times today and left me several messages.

This number has left 3 messages today saying:

"Call is to inform you that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against you to get more information about this case file. Please call immediately on our department number 360-450-0699. I repeat 360-450-0699. Thank you. Goodbye."

I already knew it was a scam!

Same call number, same message as Diana reported above.  Promptly blocked and filed a FCC complain.

Thought was true for a second...Sure many people may fall for this....How can we help? Any ideas?

I got an incomplete message left on phone - when I called back got some foreign guy stating from irs audit department and they were going to arrest me for 4 violations  blah blah blah - these [***] had me sick to my stomach, I was shaken by this and when I started asking questions the [***] hung up - I called back got another foreigner went thru same rigmarole and finally that jerk hung up - called a third time a normal speaking person answered stating they were attorney so and so. when iu asked him to repeat that he hung up - well after further checking discovered its a scam. I am surprised as to why this phone number is still in use/operation - //well I'LL be checking into filing complaints in addition to sites given on an earlier post, I am going to file complaint with Washington's Attorney general since the call supposedly originated in Wa based on the area code... SOBs....

just got a call from 360-450-0699  and he was a foreign guy saying he was from the IRS. He  wanted to speak to my daughter I told him he could not I knew it was a scram because my daughter has never filled taxes. She did not start working until this summer. When I told him she has never filed taxes he hung up on me and I tried  calling back and now they will not answer the phone. I called on a different phone and they answered. I just hung up on him.

i got a call from this number today 7/29/2015 the guy told me that I owe money to the IRS and If I don't pay this amount he will send the police to my location.   and when I told him that you are not real he got mad at me and told me that I will have police at my door in 4 hours.

Received two calls from this number 360-450-0699. They said that the IRS is suing us and to call this number!! What a scam!!

Someone called stating the call was from the IRS Audit Department.  I respond immediately or I will be arrested.

Received a call from 360-450-0699 while I was driving and only got a call back number. Called a few time and no answer so I blocked it. After reading this thread I will not be answering that number, even though I have it blocked. I have dealt with the IRS before and they always send letters on why they are contacting you.

Received a call from an Asian Indian stating he was with the IRS Audit Dept.  Very Rude!  Said the IRS has a law suite for past taxes I fraudulently neglected to disclose details to the IRS from 2008 - 2013.  That was the first clue, he was an idiot and a spam call.  He insisted I either pay the $7K plus taxes owed TODAY or settle in court.  When I told him I would need to borrow the money from my dad (who passed away 10 years ago), he insisted on a time I could process the payment.  Somehow he know I was recording the conversation, the phone call went dead.

I received a call from number 360-450-0699 as well. It does in fact throw you back for a bit, until you finally can recover and give a proper reply. When I laugh after stating why would the IRS wait this long and use the method of calling on a cell phone the scammer said to me 'Why are you laughing?'. Holy cow.
