called 2 or 3 times and did not even let ring more than 3 times and hung up. i never picked up on each call.

my guess is they r testing to c if anyone answers. if u answer unknown callers and they say nothing then what they do is tag your number as active good and a human voice on other end versus a modem fax etc.
this also gives them an idea when you are usually available.
this way when they sell off your data the auto dialers which call for the telemarketers will know about when to try your number. when you answer someone is there to sell you something or survey you whatever.
keep in mind with so much scamming going around never give any details out and never change banks or open a bank account or other financial account over the phone unless you know exactly who YOU are calling and initiate such a call. dont trust that the person calling you is from such n such financial even if it shows up on your caller ID as such. because CALLER ID CAN BE FAKED! and MANY TIMES IS!

not just the number but the name too.
a hacker could call your phone and your phone might say your local bank number and name.
if you really want to do business with them say let me call you back. get name and number then look it up in your local phone book directory yellow / white pages and call them directly.

I just got a call that I missed, but am glad I didn't answer.  I don't need these telemarketers to eat up my minutes...I don't know how to stop them.  Is there a "do Not Call" list for Cell Phones?

This person called me 5 times today! I tried calling back and an automatized voice came on stating the Verizon subscriber you have dialed is an invalid number... after sending a text message, they never called back

Just got a call, no message.

This company keeps calling my cell phone.  They leave no message and when you call back it disconnects at six seconds.  Where are our privacy laws???

this number somehow got my cell phone and calls regularly but leaves no message. I wish there was a way to block them or stop them ~ it's activities like this that give sales and business such a bad reputation.

I just received a call from this number. I don't know how this stupid company got my cell phone number. Thank god, I don't ever pick up phone numbers that I don't know. Hopefully this is going to be there last time calling my cell phone.

You can to block an out of state phone number. Your the goof ball, don't be calling people goofballs don't act like you know something when you don't. Ive worked at the phone company for 30 years I know A little more about this than you Goofball. Some people just 1 act like they know everything knower of all things the master of none.....
