i keep getting calls from this number but i never answered. i tried to call but the call was disconnected.

From what I understand it is incredibly difficult to actually catch these people because they are too hard to track.  The cell number is coming from Washington state, but they could be using a device from another area.  I had a problem with this before and there was basically a phone bank of live people in Texas who were using routers or whatever devices to contact and make calls through an unmanned phone bank in California.

I get the impression that actually locating these people would be expensive and tricky.

What someone else here said is good advice, though- don't pick up and don't call back.  That way they won't know if the number is even ringing to a real person and they might start calling more infrequently.

If you have a smartphone, get the call control app.  Even the free app blocks calls from companies like this, numbers you choose to block, and unavailable or unknown numbers.  I got it to stop getting calls I didn't want coming in.

How do we get this to stop?  Grrr

I received a call from this number just minutes ago. I rarely answer calls from numbers I don't know. Glad I didn't answer this one, cause now I see this must be spam or some kind of scam....time to block!

360-461-4559 is not  a real number, you call it and get Verizon Wireless saying that the number is not a working number

Stop calling my cell phone!

I am going to block it.  But how do you report it?

Call on my cell @ 11:43 AM. My usual - don't recognize, don't answer. Other than the strain of having to remove my cell phone from its holster & look at it; no problem. It is irritating however!!

Junk call. No message left.

This is the second time a number from this area has called me. The first number was 360-460-8637. Neither one left a message and I wish they would stop calling me. I don't answer if I don't recognize the number, but being repeatedly called my this place is annoying!

Repeated calls to my cell. Never leaves a message so I do not know who or why.

I got called this morning, but they hung up after a few rings.  Saw another post say it was the "[ship's horn]...This is your captain..." swindle.  I save these type of phone numbers in my contact list as 'Do Not Answer', but they rarely (at least, with me) use the same number twice.  I have over a dozen saved numbers from this particular scam.  I have no advice, just venting.

My phone gives me the option in call log, if I were to go to delete the number from my call log it says "Block Caller"... That way if they ever call again, it just brings them straight to voicemail so I don't have to deal with it :)

Got a call from these people a couple of hours ago. I ordinarily do not pick up unknown #s but am waiting to hear from several jobs out of state so I made the mistake of answering this one. I went thru a similar ordeal a few months ago, even notified the Atty. General's ofc in Washington State and (I think) Michigan, plus a few other states. For the most part, they were glad to help, even got a response and case# back from one state. Call them, it works.

went ahead and put this number in my contacts as spammer1 and assigned a no ring  ring tone to it. Problem solved

I got a call at 11:20 is and there was a very low humming then a male voice. I could not hear what the voice was saying over the humming! Then the humming would pause and I could hear, the voice said this is an automated something and the humming started again. When the humming paused a second time I heard "to get this, press the buttons on your phone" the humming started again and I hung up! I've gotten strange calls before but never with this humming. Any one else experience this?

I get calls from this number at least 3 times a week if not more.  I've never answered before, until today.  As soon as I answered they hang up.  It is really annoying and I wish it would stop.
