Who the hell are these people to call several times a day.

Answered a call originating from this number on 03/04/2013 at 12:17 PM.  Caller asked to speak with me (by my first name) then gave their name and stated they were with "Affordable Northwest Exteriors".  Went on to say that that they had recently done some remodeling work "in my neighborhood" and were calling to see if I was interested in scheduling any projects or estimates while they are in their "slow season".  Asked about the age of the home, etc.  

Since I had never heard of this firm and the company name did not match what was displayed on my caller ID, I gave no personal info, though I stated that we do not accept telephone solicitations as a rule, and if we are interested, we will thoroughly research the company and seek them out if/when we are in a position to have work performed.  I requested that they do NOT contact us again in the future.  

Upon doing some additional investigation, I learned that "Affordable Northwest Exteriors" is a contractor based in Vancouver, WA and has a website: http://www.affordablenwexteriors.com, with a number that matches what was on my ID.  Seems like they must not be doing much trade in their own home territory of SW Washington if they're having to make cold calls to people in the Seattle-Tacoma area.

"Heritage Plaza" called here just now but I didn't answer it.  Never do if I don't recognize name on Caller ID.  I wouldn't give out any info to them, either, Matti, good for you!
