Said they were from department of Labor and Industries and wanted to send us the latest posters required by L&I to be posted for all employees.  Then at the end mentioned there would be a $70 charge for the posters and we would be invoiced or could pay now by CC.  Told them to get lost, I can print those online.  I suspect this guy wasn't really from L&I

Said they were the company that provides Labor Law posters.  I've gotten mail and had calls from these companies before.  They're trying to sell you something you can get online for free.  Hung up on him.

Yes, they are one of those companies preys on inexperienced office workers by trying to sell you Washington L&I posters that you can get for free from the state.

Though when they called my workplace, they did not actually say they were WITH the Dept. of L&I.

They say something along the lines of "we are the company that supplies your labor law posters required by Washington L&I, and we just need to verify some information before we send out your order."

Do NOT agree to anything. Remember, you can get these posters for FREE from the State of Washington.

Did not attempt to sell us anything, instead just let seven seconds of quiet, creepy breathing.
