Remember to return here, to 800notes.com, after you look at any of the information at that site. - das replies to SlimYes they did call again. Scam, blocked call number. These people need a life, seriously.
- AnnoyedThey unknowingly left a message, at least it seemed that way. It was almost 10 mins long. Two foreign sounding people talking to each other. Not even sure what language they were speaking. It was a man and a woman. Lots of background noise. Almost seemed like it was a "butt dial" Heard them conversing back and forthwith some laughter in between. Again, couldn't understand a word they were saying. Differant language and heavy accents.
- AnonymI can only assume that this was regarding a supposed payday loan I didn't pay back. again. I have gotten three this week about it. The one I actually spoke to the person, he had my complete ss# which was a bit scary. I asked which payday loan company and he spouted off about 10 of the. I have called the companies that I can rememer him using and let them know this is happening and they were very appreciative and took all the information that I could give them regarding the call and they are filing reports with the authorities. After the guy spouted off the companies I just simply said, do you realize I live in PA. He said what's that have to do with it. I said payday loans are illegal in PA and all the crap you just shoved out your pie hole is illegal. I said IF and I mean IF I had a payday loan and IF i would have defaulted to the point of going to a lawyer, I said the payday company would not be allowed to charge me more than I believe 34% on the deliquent funds not the 399% as you are claiming and IF it would go to court, which no reputable payday loan company goes that far, 1 of 2 things would happen. They would loose because they should have never issued me the payday loan in the first place OR I would owe them the original bal plus 34% interest on each month that I didn't pay.......He just kept screaming at me. I said do what you need to do, cause this chick ain't playin.

- Stephanie| 2 repliesHey everyone just wanted to warn you all about a SCAM going around. After I got off work for lunch Thursday I had a missed call from 1 360-967-4395 and a voicemail of a computerized voice telling me to call this number back to receive grant money. I've been in school for years and have applied for numerous grants, scholarships...etc so I didn't think much of it and called the number back. A man with a heavy Arabic accent answered and asked my name I gave him my first name and said I had received a voicemail from this number about grant money. He said that I had been awarded $7,000 grant money from the government because I paid my taxes on time, hadn't been arrested, and hadn't filed bankruptcy. (Looking back on it this should have been a red flag instant because I never gave my last name....) he asked how would I like to receive it, on my credit card or debit card? (Second MAJOR) red flag. I said I'd like cash. He was quiet for a second and then told me to call his supervisor at a second number (240) 232-6069. I did and a lady answered, before she could talk much I asked, "What company is this again?" She got real uppity and said, "Ma'am dis not company dis is American government. I can not tell you what to do with you grant money but..." I cut her off, said I wanted cash, she said I'd have to go to the nearest Western Union and put down a $210 deposit to receive my grant money. (That's the ticket) I hung up, called Western Union, and the guy I spoke to was so nice and very concerned asking exactly what information did I give and had I sent any money? I explained my situation and he asked for these people's numbers and said he'd be contacting the authorities and thanked me me a lot for calling it in. So yeah, someone asks for your card information you know where to tell em to go. Stay safe everyone!

- SteveI just received a call from this number. I looked the number up on the phone and it looks like the number was re-routed. I called the number 360-967-4395 back and a man with a very heavy accent told me I had been awarded a grant of $7000. He asked for my name and my age. That seemed innocent enough so I gave it him. He asked me how I wanted my money I told him cash in hand and he gave me a code number and a phone number. I didn't call back because I wanted to check online first to see where the call came from...and as I am typing they are calling me back. They need a life. What authority does one call for this sort of thing?

- peter debriThey left a message direct on my voice mail that there is $7000 for my federal credit uNion? It sounded like a computer voice. Difficult to hear. They gave me a referral number but it was impossible to hear. Nice to hear that crime is legal in the USA.
- RuferealI was called from the number 360-967-4395 by an automated caller saying that I was approved to receive $7000 government grant. I figured this was a scam since I did not apply for any grants that I haven't already received for college. I just thought I would look around the web to seek out the truth. My instincts served me well.
- Genny replies to BobI agree! It's a scam! Saying I've won 7,000 dollars. Now I am supposed to give personal information so they can get the money to me! Ha!!! I told them it was a scam, I'm going to report them, he started mocking my words which made me even madder!!!!
IT'S A SCAM!!! - Anonym| 1 replyJust got a recorded message stating I was awarded $7000 grant money and to call 360-967-4395 to arrange delivery. I have not applied for any grants since college so my bulldookey alarm went to red alert and I checked that phone number on several phone sites. My caller ID says call originated from Castle Rock, WA but after reading the posts on this site I doubt that is true. I wish people would wise up because these thieves wouldn't be doing this if it wasn't profitable any longer. Unfortunately the people who fall for these scams are usually the ones who are in real need and praying for relief and don't see the obvious scam most of us see clearly. Too sad.

- Not StupidI received a voicemail call from (360) 967-4395 stating it was the US government. I qualified for a $7000 grant and to call the number back. I laughed because I should have received a check in mail or a surprised deposit instead of a call. I knew it was a scam and this site proved my suspicion right... thanks. I've been warning everyone I talk to about this call.

- AmyThese people are SCAMMERS!! DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT give these people your info or money. The left a message on my machine about being approved for $7,000 in grant money. I called them back and they wanted my bank acoount info or credit card info to deposit the money into but first wanted me to go to Moneygram and bring my ID along with $210. The lady named Stephanie Green then told me that the $210 was 100% refundable and was only for the sole purpose of proving I am who I say I am. She then told me several times "do not tell the people at Moneygram that the government was the one sending me $7,000." I asked why and she said if they knew it was government they would make me give them $3,500 of the money. THIS IS A SCAM!!! DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY OR YOUR INFO!! The Government will NEVER ask you to send them money, ever!!!
