Received three phone calls telling me that the IRS would have me arrested by the local authorities if I did not call within 24 hours

Report the Calls to the real IRS here:
•report the incident to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration at 800-366-4484.
•You can also file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at FTC.gov. Add "IRS Telephone Scam" to the comments in your complaint.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

Vague msg left. No answer when I cld back.

I got the same call. Saying the irs was investigating my social security number and I would be arrested.

It was a message saying to call them back that the IRS was investigating me and I have had these in the past as well saying if I don't pay them money I will go to jail nothing ever came of it they are scammers trying to make money.

I also got a call from this number but I didn't answer and I got a voicemail saying that I will be arrested by the local police if I will not call within 24 hrs.

Scam call IRS and SS issue will be arrested by local police.

I got 2 calls today within an hour, very annoying. This is also not the first time this has happened to me. Very tired of this stuff!!

I got the same and laughed that it said "you will be arrested by the local cops"  lol  they need to be a little bit more professional. Seriously they need to use "the local law enforcement office or local police department".   I've blocked the number on my iPhone.  I'm sure this has something to do with the brown shirts!

call received 3 times today before I entered it in my blocked phone number list.  funny how they use the word "cops" instead of police or law enforcement.  Stupid brown shirts, sitting in their mommy's basements trying to make a $$
