This one was saying i owed the IRS $892.00 and that i had 20 minutes to do a wire transfer to a Bank of America account or a warrant would be issued for my arrest for tax fraud, defrauding the IRS. They even claimed to have a agent from homeland security on the line with us.They said that if i didn't pay that the IRS would seize all of my bank accounts & property and that the fines would be $45,000.00 if i took it to court plus 5 years in jail!!!! I wrote down all of the names and numbers and got as much info as i could before i was cussed out and hung up on, I called the IRS and surprise no problems. I also called the Bank Of America to verify the account number and routing number and they were valid. I called the Attn. General, Home Land Security(Since there was an agent involved I.D.#14172012 Sam Anders), and the FTC. NO ONE CARED ABOUT DOING ANYTHING TO SHUT THESE SUCKERS DOWN!! That's our government protecting us, they said just don't give out any information and you should be fine. WHAT B.S.!!! How about fixing the problem and stopping this crap! Come on law enforcement get off your butts and stop this stuff!!

I was given the small crap as Mr. Tim. That I owed $726 and needed to pay before I was arrested. I seemed word for word that Mr. Tim states. I filled a complaint with the Treasury Inspector General (www.tigta.gov) after my I talked with my personal tax advisor that I have used for years. This man (badge #258741 - AJ Wilson - stated he was a senior tax officer) threatened me also told me that Home Land security was monitoring this call.

Just listened to a message on my answering machine. It was a recorded message saying it was my final notice and the IRS was filing a lawsuit against us. It gave this number to call back and find out the details, yeah right.

Got the call today. Notified my local FBI friend. They have already set wheels in motion to have the U.S. Treasury Department shut these people down and make arrests.

I got a message originally on caller ID from 210-280-8487.  Message purports to be IRS and telling us we are being sued by the IRS and call them back immediately.  However, the number they tell you to call back on is 360-967-4459.  Sounds similar to many versions of IRS scam calls going around.  We ignored it.

I got the same message on my answering machine when I listened I was getting my final notice that I was being sued by the IRS.   First clue something was wrong with the call was the lack of an 800 number.   I did not call back.  I'm too cheap.

The IRS will never call you to try to collect money.  They do everything either in person or via the mail.  Do not give these people any information regarding your finances.  They are trying to scam you.

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

Outside of an air strike, there's no way anyone can shut them down.  They are located in India and Pakistan and as such beyond anyone's reach.  Call blocker might be of some help.

A message was left on my voicemail saying that I owe money to the IRS for back taxes.  They left me a number which i called and they said that they had sent an agent to my home.  As soon as I heard the voice on the other side I knew
it was a scam, the guy sounded either indian or arabic and as soon as I told him I was going to call the IRS for more info he hung up.   The number they told me to call was 360-967-4458

The State Department could call in their Ambassador and tell him/her that unless they clean up the criminal organizations running these scams, they can kiss any more foreign aid goodbye.
