These shady people made the mistake of calling a wrong number. The wrong number just happened to be a reputable, international collection company.  The female on the line was rude from the beginning. She argued with me about my identity and wouldn\'t give her identity. She thought I was lying about the company that she was calling. I even checked my company directory to make sure the debtor she was looking for didn't work for us. I told her several times that the call was being recorded. (my company records every call inbound and outbound to avoid lawsuits.) Finally, she hung up the phone on me. That being said, this is just a low budget collection agency that doesn\'t follow laws set by the FDCPA to protect the consumer. I would avoid them at all cost. And if they harass you, hire a lawyer. It seems like an easy win.

I *67 the number act like i wanted to pay my bill and got all the info on the person they was trying to collect from then i had him remove my # then i got a call from another # asking for a different person. these collectors are boring.i think i will put their #s on a calling list let them get some calls haha.

Has repeatedly called my cell. I don't answer it and they don't leave a message

Have been receiving calls from this number but I never answer the call.  I think I'll block the number.

I am surprised some folks had a bad experience with this company. I just pulled my credit report and saw my old credit debt was with this company. HSBC card from when I was young. My credit limit on card was 300 and they're balance was over 700. But they agreed to settle for 350. After three of not paying on that card, I only got charged 50 dollars worth of interest. I thought it was a good deal. I was never threatened.. When i red all these post then i got worried. First i checked there BBB rating which was B. Then I checked to see if they were licensed in my state(Florida) and they were.. I was pretty impressed with there customer service.. Beats at&t for sure .

I've gotten several calls from them at my work, even though I told them not to call me at work.
So that's a bad note. But I just completed working with them, and they were very reasonable,
and removed all of the interest that were on my account, and agreed to split up my payments.

I recieved a message on my phone to call this number back. I am skeptical of paying collection agency but Halsted Financial has to be one of the nicest and easiest company to work with. They offered me a 50 off my balance and agreed to spit it up in two payments. The gentlemen i spoke with was the manager his name was Sam Antony ...

they called me with the computerized message as well. I called them back, it was for debt that i owed from my college days. I got into some trouble with some credit cards. Just like the people that posted before, my experience went well. They told me i owed money for my Chase credit card, they offered me a settlement of almost 50% off my balance so i agreed to pay them. They were pretty nice to me. Chase bank was more rude to me then these guys, if chase would've been respectful and worked with me like this company, then i would paid them long time ago.

They have another number that they use to call from, 7862454133, using the message about hanging up if you're not [insert some person I've never heard of before].  I didn't hang up and spoke to someone about taking my number off their list in searching for that person.  They said they would, were polite about it and all, and a few hours later I get a call from THIS number... ugh.  Hopefully it's just taking a little time to get my number out of their system.  Nobody wants to talk to bill collectors, even if they're looking for someone else... and if your name is "Leesam" or something like that, you need to pay your fn bills...

Keep getting calls from this number.  I answer, "Hello?, hello?, hello?" and then they just hang up.  I called the number back and asked who they were.  They told me they were "Halstead Financial Services" and they were collecting a debt.  It was from over 10 years ago LOL.  I said, "Good luck' and then I laughed at him and hung up.  Just block the number :D

They've been calling me at least a dozen times a month, for several months now, but whenever I answer all I get is five seconds of silence then a disconnect. I hope they'll actually say something to me some day, so I can finally have a chance to vent my anger.

I receive daily calls from this number. A recording asking for a person I have never heard of. After about 5 calls I called the number back and talked to some guy. He insisted that he had the right number. I told him repeatedly it was not and to remove that number. But I still receive the calls daily. I just don't answer the phone when I see this number. Grrrrr.....

These guys are persistent even though I told them I don't know who they are looking for and was assured I would be taken off their call list, they keep finding numbers to call me from so that I have to keep adding numbers to the block list.  Voice mail translator says its tiffany knows this week, and I thought it sounded like Jason Noahzeek or something.  Nowhere close to the possible names that could be related to me or any name I've made up in the past.  It is just too easy to scam people these days when you have machines calling everyone.

keeps calling and asking for  Marie Augustine, Nida  I told them I don't know this person, but they call several times a day!!

These people are a joke and a scam.  I received a brand new phone # (never used) to sell my car on Craiglist, and the next day they started to call me.  They scraped my phone # from Craigslist.

So I posted an ad on craigslist trying to sell my car, I got a text message the following day from a number that wanted to buy my car I tried calling and this number calls me saying his name is Steve and then proceeded to text me to use paypal to pay me for the car, got an email from possibly paypal saying 21 grand was sent to my paypal account and all I had to do was send 500 dollars for an agent to pick up the car..I knew something was up so I called paypal and they said basically it's a fraud forwarded them all the emails and "Steve" from this number called me back "What happened" I told him I just had gotten off the phone with paypal and they had clarified that all those emails and everything going on is a scam. Then he hung up on me.

Called our house about 11:30. We did not answer and they did not leave a message. We are on state and federal do not call lists.

FYI:  if your debt is 4yrs old or older, the statute of limitations has run on it & you are no longer responsible for it.  Lots of debt collection companies still try to badger people into paying old debts, tho.  NEVER deal w/these weasels.
