Called on a Monday at 12:45pm (pdt) I answered after two rings, they disconnected.

Some web searches show this as belonging to (or used to belong to):

but anywho.com fails to find a listing for "novastar" (or "nova star") anywhere in R.I. and no data for reverse lookup so this number either belongs to someone else or is spoofed.

I just got a call from that number and they hung up before I could answer. The call was to my work blackberry.

Just got a call from this number at my office.

Some security company looking to sell ADT security systems. It is an outbound number for a call center.

Got a call from same number. Didn't answer and no message was left. Second time this week, although last time was a different number (920-560-2492).

Yeah, ADT. . . I must have given my cell phone number to someone that sold it. Silly me. Now ADT is calling from several different numbers. I was able to contact a sales rep who SAID HE PUT ME ON A "DO NOT CALL" LIST. HE SAID. . . Right.  Oh, well. . . Guess if I ever need security service, I'll KNOW NOT TO CALL ADT.

Call and hangup.  I am on do not call list.

These people have been calling me for months. I have ask them on multiple occations to quit calling me but they are very persistant. So if they want to waste my time and money, I will waste theirs. I gave them all the information they needed to send out an agent to somewhere in Alabama (I live in another state) Havent recieved a call in almost 2 weeks.

Called and stayed on the line but did not respond when I said hello a number of times

No message just the number I looked it up and found it on here I hope they don't call back :\

6 CALL IN 10 DAYS. TOLD THEM NOT TO CALL AGAIN AND GOT A SNICKER FROM THEM..

ADT called my cell phone early in the morning. I answered b/c only people w/ emergencies call early in the morning.  I pressed the numbers to hopefully get me to a live agent (so I could request to be put on their DO NOT CALL list), they hung up.

Within the next couple of hours, I received 2 calls from this number. I hope they don't continue to call.  It's so annoying!

Called my phone this morning.  Also believe they called me about a week ago which I answered.  They don't leave a message but when I picked it up it was a recording advertising security systems.

Lol Don't send them here, they call all the time.

Just called. ADT.
I asked to be removed from the list. He (i think his name was Nate) said he would do that, but first could he ask why I wasn't interested in making sure my home was secure? blah blah blah. Asked again to be removed. He said, "okay, but you opted in for these calls."

Um... nope. Never.

Call was from "Jason" at ADT security,  This was preceeded by a robo call from 269.978,1232 2 hours earlier.

We've gotten many calls from strange numbers on our cellphone- since we have caller ID, almost everybody who would be calling us comes up as a name, i.e. Smith Jane, isntead of numbers. my dad says that there are people out there who will snatch a whole bunch of random phone #s, call you, and charge YOU outrageous prices ($90 a minute) for innocently picking it up. So, I'm glad I came on this site and looked this number up since we got a call yesterday.

Here's how you fix it:

This is not ADT, this is a company that installs ADT systems. ADT will thump their skulls.

Call ADT Customer Service at 8665610952. Give them the caller ID of the # that called.

Give them the # that should be removed. Be patient and understanding.
