I picked up and no one was on the other end....probably a scam

Just received a call from this number. It's a scam on home security systems. I told him that he had the wrong number multiple times, and he argued with me saying "well that is the reason I am calling. Your home security system is tied to your phone number, and burglars are easily disabling it."

I rent an apartment and have nothing of the sort.

Answered this time and was asked if I was the owner of the house. Told her - unfortunately - "yes" - and she tried to sell me an alarm system. I already have one. Then I remembered seeing on TV just a few days ago that this is a new scam for the person called to say "yes" and the scammer records the voice snd the word "yes". I should know better but they caught me off guard. I've taken my phone off the hook TWICE for a week at a time and it does slow down these nutcases from calling. There is no solution except pull the phone out!!!  Do NOT say "yes" anytime on the phone - you're being recorded.
