Mortgage Review.  Said "we are calling people in the city...." without saying the name of the city.  I suspect he was in a call center and did not know which city he was calling.  I also suspect he wanted to refinance my mortgage or to get personal information so he could spend my money and pretend to refinance my mortgage.

Called my cell phone which is on the Do Not Call list.  That proves his employer breaks laws when it suits them.

Same number, different scam.  This time the caller mumbled the name of a home repair service and said they would be in my area tomorrow checking homes for hail damage.  The hail storm was more than 2 weeks ago and missed my subdivision by about 1 mile.  I told her I was on the Do Not Call list and that she was violating federal law by calling me.  I also said that if anyone from her company came to my house I would have them arrested.

10 second call - no msg.  blocking

Cold-called my cell.  Extremely strong accent.  Talked so fast that I would not understand him even without the accent.  He cold not explain how he got my cell (not associated with my address in any way).  Claimed to be "in the area" and wanted to come by tomorrow morning to "inspect for storm damage."  He had the address completely wrong (4+ miles off).  Would not tell me what company he represents.  Argued with me when I said I wasn't interested.  I told him that if he showed up on my property in the morning I would call the police.  SCAM.  Blocked him.

Update - according to Nextdoor for my neighborhood this number belongs to a "lead service".  They are hired by companies to make calls, generating leads for the sales people to contact next.  Their current contract is with a Disaster Vulture, a company that travels to areas that have had a natural disaster, earn a bundle on repairing homes, then leave.  Often the work of such companies is substandard.  The company is long gone before you discover how badly the work was done.

This number calls several times a week.  Everytime we answer the phone identifying us as a church, there is just silence and then the line clicks and goes dead.  HOW CAN WE GET THESE CALLS TO STOP!!!!!!!!!!

I've been called 4 times in the last 3 days from this number. They say they are a mortgage company or they are calling on behalf of the VA about my mortgage. Each time I asked them to remove my number from their list. For the last call the guy on the line was extremely rude when I told him not to call again.
