The call is a VOIP call and is using spoofed numbers.

They didn't 'get' your number.  It's simply a computer auto-dialing random numbers and it happened to stumble upon yours.

Incorrect.   666 IS the mark of the beast.   No error.   And it only would have been Greek,  because the mark of the best is not mentioned in the old testament.  Go to blueletterbible dot org to see the scripture in the original language and the translation of each word.

Called my number but hung up when I answered.. I blocked the number. You should do the same.

I am receiving unwanted calls from this number.

Just got a call from them on my cell phone which I do not give to merchants about reducing my credit card rates.  

They said Visa MasterCard and I asked if they did AMEX as well.  They said yes, and asked me which one I want to start with and how much I owe.  I said send me the information in the mail and I'll get back to you;  not giving my personal information over the phone to someone who called me but I did not call.

Not surprisingly they hung up to find more interesting "customers"

Got a call.  I didn't answer.  They didn't leave message.  I blocked my caller ID and called back.  Number is disconnected.

The card service scammers   WILL   'service' our credit cards,   BUT,   when they finish 'servicing' them, they will have NO available credit remaining! People that are fooled into having their cards 'serviced' will be charged a MINIMUM of $795.00, and many times the ENTIRE amount remaining on the card. The card service scammers are a disgusting group of degenerates, who prey mainly on the low income, and the elderly, but will cheat anyone that they can!

This was a hangup on my cell phone

The number displayed was 402-666-9332.  Card Member Services was the automated speech, then press 1 to reduce your credit card interest rate.  They answer almost immediately, background noise (indicating a call center also known as a boiler room operation) was overwhelming.  I asked the name of business & was given "Card Member Services".  Asked the name of person, hung up on immediately.

These types of calls are in violation of Federal Law & FCC regulations.

Blocking that number but I'm sure more calls will come because they post phony display numbers.

Got the Card Member Services call (402-666-9332) and that I must call immediately to get a better interest rate...this is a scammer.  If you want a better interest rate - call your credit card company and talk to them yourself.  They will discuss, they don't randomly have groups call you!  I am on the do not call list too, but mindful that only legitimate businesses even look at that list. Of course they don't leave a specific card name as they are hoping we are stupid enough to go along with their scam and give out information that damages us.  This is a fraudulent group - don't answer - hang up!
