I got a call last night that asked for me by name and while my wife was bringing me the phone they hung up.  Could not find out who called from Google lookup unless payment was rendered.

Called the number this morning and found it was from the Fraternal Order of Police which may or may not be ligit.

You can call this number back to have your number removed from their files.

I got the call, a man asked for me by name, I said, "That's me," and he hung up. Creepy.

I called the number back and this is a fundraiser company for the Fraternal Order of Police. A recording says you can opt out. I spoke with a nice woman who said she had no idea about the hang up calls, I told her where to find complaints on the internet, she said she would notify her supervisor.

The "guy" on the other end is a recording.  If you give an odd response, the computer system asks "will you repeat that" or hangs up.  The real FOP calls with real people with real names and police titles.

Got a call from 402-817-7413.ID came up as QUD or QVD-hard to read. No one spoke.

Caller ID said Black Hills Energy. Calls received frequently. I don't answer.

No voicemail or anything.  What the heck?

Received a call from this number; Caller ID posted as Black Hills Energy, so I answered. Said they were offering a month's free warranty on all our appliances; was I interested? Said no. Caller was hard to understand; I called Black Hills Energy and they have no such number listed, thought they do offer appliance repair service. Interesting that different entities are using the same number.

I got a call last night, the ID on my fax machine read Black Hills Energy but someone else said the number belonged to The Fraternal Order of the Police, what police? If the cops are soliciting for money what are we paying taxes for?Kind of confusing. I just called 402-817-7413 and the recording stated it was Black Hills Energy, I just hung up, they probably are pushing their appliance repair thing, I live out here on the plains in Nebraska and Black Hills is the gas company here. So it appears to be a legit number not a scammer.

Black Hills Energy trying to sell me a service contract on my gas appliances.  My only gas appliance is my furnace and its still under the manufacturer's guarantee.

Apparently this number belongs to a telemarketing boiler room that calls for more than one company.
