My phone bill says I called this number, but I never did. When I called the phone company they said that I had to have called it from my home phone. I have no idea what this number is for, but the call cost me $7.

Is this really Paypal`s phone number,I got an email asking me to call this number.Have had a lot of spoof emails from "Ebay" and "Paypal" lately so am reluctant to call this number.

I have received 3 different emails saying the same thing, supposedly from Paypal.. but in the "To" of the email, it isn't my email address.  I set up a paypal account a long time ago and only used it once or twice. Forgot the password so on Paypal site I tried a password retrieva, but they never sent me my password.  On the site there is no way to email contact them only the 402-935-2050 #.  I see from a previous entry here that someone did call and got a $7 phone bill for doing that.  Glad I saw that cuz I almost called to figure it out.  I am just going to block the address of the emails.. has to be a scam.

FYI, I googled this number and it apparently IS a real PayPal number--it's turned up on several anti-PayPal sites as part of legitimate contact information for them.  Well, they might have called my husband...they likely never think he sends them enough money for his PayPal account (although he just sent them a pretty good sized amount). Could be a spoof, but they're using a real contact number, apparently. It showed up on our bill as being out of Omaha, NE. Fortunately, we only got charged a little over $2.00 for it.

it definately is Paypal. I had to call it the other day because I had forgotten my password. all it is is the customer service number

Did you have to pay this on your phone bill or did you disbute it and not pay it?

I got this number billed on my phone bill just this nmonth, and didn't recognize it so I googled it, and found this info here.  However, I did make a couple of phone calls to Paypal, so I would say this is an authentic phone number for a genuine business.

I just googled this number and came to this site, and I did call pay pal as well due to the fact that I also forgot my password and it is there customer service number but I had no idea that I was paying for it!

I just saw the # on my phone bill listed as Omaha NE. I did call Paypal customer service because of a spoof mail I recieved. I did not answer the email but went directly to my account and looked up the # there. I would never follow up an email but go to the website by typing in the url in my browser but not from anything on the email. It may look real but most likely would lead you to an alternate site and phish for your info.

I was looking at previous posts on this number.You don't get charged if you see this number on your phone. GEEEEEZZZZZ,  it's paypal's customer service number.

I called paypal and then got a charge on my phone bill. $16.45. Paypal customer service is a scam. They didn't even answer the question I had. What a joke, THere is no customer service.

The charge on your phone bill would be for the long distance call, not anything to do with Paypal. It is strange though that they don't have a 1-800 number for customer service.
