- Mike11206I just got a call from the same number today 402-998-5021 the called ID says Omaha NE, I didn't answer I don't answer #'s i don't know.
- Caller: Omaha NE
- big chiefJust a total scam. these people are calling number to is there are people to answer and then sell the number as a good number for telemarketing. block the number in your phone if possible.
- Caller: sorry got the wrong number
- Call type: Telemarketer
- J.F.Unlike the other scammers, this guy left a message on the answering machine saying that he had the wrong number. This tactic,of course, made me think that it was not a scam--until I checked the number on 800 Notes. Thanks for your website.
- Caller: Unknown Name
- Bruce_in_MAThis is a typical Scam call ID "Omaha NE" = "Town State" = Scam - did put a message on answering machine saying "I am sorry, I have the wrong number." Unfortunately it was not blocked - it is now.
- Caller: Omaha NE
- TiredGot this call at 1:30. A man says "hello? Hello?" and when I say hello again, he said, "Im sorry I must have the wrong number." IDK who this is. but caller ID says "OMAHA NE".
- ShawnI just now got this one, too. I said hello twice before a what sounded like a white male in his late 30's early 40's said "he had the wrong number". I asked what number he was calling and the male hung up. Caller ID showed the number was originating from Omaha.
- DaniJust got a call on my cell but I didn't answer. Sent it to voice mail. After reading all the reports here about a recording that said hello twice I would have expected to hear it on the voice mail, but no. It's 3 seconds of dead air, white noise, not even anything in the background.
Unfortunately I switched from a Samsung to Motorola phone, and no longer have the option to block calls. Had I known, that would have been a deal breaker. Instead I can put the number in as a contact and set it to always go to voice mail, which I did. Better than nothing. - BennieReceived a call from this number 402-998-5021 just now, 5:23 pm central time. Sounded like a white, mid-western accent. Caller ID says OMAHA NE. I always record calls from numbers that I don't recognize. This is how it went:
Me: Hello?
Caller: Uh Hello?
Caller: Hello?
Me: Yes sir
Caller: Oh, I'm sorry, I, I'm sorry I think I've got the wrong number
Me: What number were you trying to call? but line was already dead (could hear click in recording). - K replies to JimI got that call today, it's a recorded call.... So is the reply I'm sorry I have the wrong number. When you call back its not a working number.
- OHIO replies to TX GalStill happening - just happened now
- T501I'm sure they are up to no good. I see this number coming in constantly. I'm glad I check the web concerning this Omaha, NE listing. I never have answered it and will not answer it. My advice to folks is "If you don't know who it is, Don't answer the call." I am supposed to have an unlisted phone number too. I do pay a monthly fee to have this number. Hummm.
- Caller: Omaha, NE
- LoriCame in as UNKNOWN on caller ID at my place of work. After I answered there was a pause, then a "Oh, um, hello? Hello?" I said Hello again and he said "oh, I think I have the wrong number." then hung up.
- BostonHollyI blocked my number to call back and got the 3 chime followed by the Verizon auto. recording "We're sorry, your call cannot be completed as dialed. Long Distance calls require a zero or 1 plus the area code and phone number. Please hang up and try your call again". Oh, really, Verizon Lady ? Must the phone be right-side up as well ? We're not idiots. Stop the calls, that's what you can do for us, Verizon Lady.
- Caller: Scam, Spoofed through, Omaha, NE
- LNIf you really listen, this is only a recording of someone saying 'hello' twice, and then automatically saying that he dialed the wrong number. Not a real person.
- KayeRec'd call. No message. Caller ID: Omaha, NE Will block #
- RTCaller ID says OMAHA NE.
Me: Hello?
Caller: Uh Hello?
Caller: Hello?
Me: Yes sir
Caller: Oh, I'm sorry, I'm sorry I think I've got the wrong number - LML| 1 replyOur business got the same sort of call. I would have picked up the receiver enough and then put it right back down again. Unfortunately, the boss was not so cagey and answered the call. I suspect this moron might be just robo-dialing numbers to see who answers so he can sell a list of valid phone numbers to some other scam artist.
- Caller: unidentified scam artist
- LML replies to LMLFor the heck of it, I blocked my caller info and called the number back. Big surprise, my call can't be completed as dialed. Definitely a scam artist.
- HOOSIERCALLED MY COMPANY AND STATED THEY HAD THE WRONG NUMBER
