this is a nielsen group SCAM that want you to deposit a check into your account, withdraw the funds, and send the money to an address in london, england. I contacted the real Nielsen Company in NY.  I was given a fraud number to report this scam. Ive seen this on a cable tv program called greed: american scams.

This is a scam!!!  Saying you won a contest from major stores in US, like walmart, Sears ect--- not true!!! they give you a check from AlaskaUSA credit union. it's a fake check!!!

Got a letter in the mail with this phone number on it. A new york address and a check for $3323.00!! They want you to Western Union $2988 of the money to someone in London England and then keep $200 for yourself. Seemed fishy to me to randomly receive something like that. So I checked it out online and was brought to this site. They didn't actually call me, this was done through the mail. I didn't want to deposit the check without finding out if it was a legit company.

Have you thrown out the letter yet?  If you still have the letter, check, and envelope put the letter and check back in the envelope, tape it shut, cross out your name on the front, and write on the envelope "Forward to Postal Inspectors".

Using the US mail for fraud is a federal crime.  If the Postmaster's office gets enough letters like yours they can go after the scammer.

i got the same letter. i havent done anything with it yet but i am signed up through another site to do "mystery shopping" i am doing some research on it and am asking a friend of mine who works at a bank to take a look at all the paperwork..i will find out soon

IT IS 100% A SCAM. i just talked to my banker and after looking up the information came to find that the company only exists online. the physical address given under the headline of the letter does not exist. the street does but the not the address given. the address on the outside of the envelope belongs to one Rushford J. of Canada. and the phone numbers are unlisted. forward it. because mine is going out tomorrow!
