    Just received a call asking for a contribution towards keeping veterans' memories alive.  I'm all for supporting veterans, but I asked for information to be sent to me before making a commitment.  I also informed the caller that I don't give money over the phone to unsolicited telemarketers. The caller wanted me to commit to a specified contribution before transferring me to their "verification department".  I reiterated the fact that I won't make a commitment over the phone, told him to have a nice day and disconnected the call.
