Random call at a very late hour, didn’t answer. They left no voicemail

They've called every night this week so far leaving no message. All calls at 8pm.

I’ve had two calls in a row around 10 AM on my cell phone. They’ve never left a message.

Numerous calls from this random number wroth a Georgia area code at 8pm as well as 4pmish. I didn't answer and they leave no message.

Multiple  calls no VM. I won't answer it between six and 7 PM local

I did some quick research and was satisfied that this was a VALID call on behalf of the CDC. I also researched the call-back number on the message that was left: 1-877-220-4805.
I found it at the CDC link below. I decided to return the call and participate in the survey. They didn't ask my name. Most personal things asked, in my opinion was zip code, age, and sexual orientation, but said I could refuse to answer any questions. It was about 8 minutes and 10-15 questions, I think.

I've seen several other complaints in regard to this phone number outside of 800notes, I had done my research as this number was calling me constantly. Complaints continue to show up every so often and to save other's time I thought I would explain to the way I understand this.

I would like to note that this number is genuinely registered with the CDC Survey Department but the survey is completely optional. I had received 3 different calls from this number, the first time I said I wasn't interested and on the third call I told them to take me off their list and I have not received a call since. Genuine surveys such as this one are NOT violations of the Do Not Call Registry (DNCR) as they are not selling anything and are not providing any services. They do not want your money but would like basic information for statistic purposes.

The Do Not Call Registry is aimed at stopping unwanted telemarketer and sales calls that could be malicious. I would recommend that if anyone feels like they are being harassed by this phone number to reach out directly to the CDC and request they take your number off their list.

Or alternatively set your phone up so that unrecognized or unknown numbers immediately get sent to voicemail.

Called.  Caller id said CDC Immunization.  Called severa times on Sunday which is unlike most government agencies.  They may be spoofing the real calling number.

Got a call from this number and the caller ID said "CDC NATL IMMUN". I debated if I should block the number or answer just to cuss them out. I eventually decided not to answer, because there was a 0% chance that anything good could come from talking to them. Either this is the actual CDC peddling their lies about vaccines or it's some scammer too [***] to realize that if you are going to impersonate a government agency, you might want to choose an agency that isn't widely regarded as openly hostile to the citizens of it's country.

Update on this. I did further research on this number. As other posts above claim, the CDC website does have a page which indicates this number is theirs and is calling about a survey. However, I can assure you that federal government employees are not working nights and weekends to make survey calls. The calls themselves actually come from a company called "NORC" which was formerly known as the National Opinion Research Center. They are calling to carry out the survey for the CDC, but they are not a government agency. In addition to these unwanted survey calls, they have also done work as "contract tracers" and other types of government surveillance! Very creepy and alarming stuff, not someone you want to be giving personal information to over the phone. I recommend blocking their calls or demanding to be removed from their calling lists.

It's an Atlanta, GA landline. They called my private cell phone, 2 days in a row/hung up. I returned the call, and got a recording saying it was the National Immunization Service representing the Center For Disease Control. They wanted to conduct a survey with me to find out if immunizations are up to par on my behalf.

Youmail says this call is "spam", & they blocked it...Twice!
