josh from List Source - Wants to verify titles - their company sells names to other companies.  Asked to be put on DNC list - said they didn't have one...

Another person from List Source - apparently they didn't put us on their DNC list.

jerk!!!! "Justin" from the List  something calls to "verify" information. I tell him I cannot verify anything, he replies with "well I have the information,  Ijust need to know if it is still correct" and I repeated "I cannot verify anything"  and he gets an attitude with me and says "so you dont know if so-snd-so is your President" I said "No- I just told you I dont have the authority to verify anything like that. I would be happy to take a message" and he says "No. thats ok" Well obvuioously, you aren't really legit now are you. Thanks for wasting my time.

Look up your FCC laws, as they do not apply to this company.

Look up your FCC laws before complaining as they do not apply to this company.  They are employed by major corporations, agencies, and government offices to maintain updated information; and it is in essence free advertising to the companies they call.
Ask for training from your supervisor or HR department on how certain companies add to your revenue with simple calls like these.

Our company is not allowed to verify any kind of information, but this company is a pain, calling over and over, even though you ask them not to call.  I just don't answer the phone when their number pops up on caller ID.  
This is harassment, not free advertising.

Asked not to call again - girl said she can't do anything about it. I won't verify in the future.

I think I can ask them as a company to not call my business - to add me to their personal do not call list, not the national one.

"Brittiney" calls wanting to verify names and titles of 3 people in my office. I ask what this is for and she replies "I am calling from The List. We are a firm that does marketing and advertising" I tell her I cannot verify anything and I would be happy to take a message- she says "no that's ok I will call back"

Ok Brittney- you do that...you will get the same message you just ogt, but hey go ahead and call me back again.."

wow this woman is rude and will do anything to call back or go around you. Again told her we would not verify names over the phone, she asked if I was the president. Refused to stop calling. Then started calling back asking to be transferred to people on their list. Called at least 5 times more.  

List Inc. - Same woman calling and asking for other people...

Calls from 404-835-3706 seem to be associated with this company in Atlanta, GA.

Called them and asked about "List Inc." calls - receptionist said it was probably them based on 404 area code - took my company name and phone.

Told them callers are "rude, persistent and do not take no for an answer".  Also mentioned that I was documenting ALL calls on-line for other users to see.

A woman wanted to verify the titles of certain employees.  I advised to put her request in writing, since company policy doesn't permit this exercise over the phone.  She said, "We've always done this by phone, that's all right, I know who to contact, thank you," and hung up.  So why didn't she call her contact (if she has one) and leave the switchboard out of it?!  And who is slipping her the information verbally, which is against procedure?!  Aaarrrggghhh!!!

Trying to get titles of our executives. Told him no but he keeps calling back.
