Exact same message we’ve received about 260 other time’s.  “We have received legal documents......”, never saying who they are, only threatening to verify place of employment and residence if we don’t call back.  We have NOTHING on our credit report saying we owe anyone any money, this is 100% a scam.

This is a company who buys old debt which is no longer able to be collected on and tries to pass it off as a "civil complaint" or scare you with "legal documents."

First of all, the debt they reference will be past the statue of limitation for collecting or filing a lawsuit on. This is why they have personal information and will also call family members. They have access to a real "OLD" debt, but they don't tell you they are a debt collector, they try to rely on you getting scared from their "legal" description of things. They pretend as if the debt has gone to court and they are "collecting" the court order (in my case the CC had a limit of $1,500.00 16 years ago, I called the CC company and they don't even have a record of me having an account with them).

Long story short, you likely won't be able to get them to stop harassing you or your family, but it is completely illegal and BS. Ignore and report till they change their number and start all over again.
