I received a call from this exact person about 10 minutes ago. I don't answer calls of numbers I don't recognize but he did leave me a voicemail. He mentioned my ill  ex father in law's name so I was a little concerned at first but decided to research the number. I had a feeling it was a scam but now I'm positive it is a scam. Do these people not have anything else better to do with their time. GEEZ get a real job.

They tried me as well. Their scare tactics almost gave me a heart attack.  Contacted Fulton County Sheriff Dept in which they confirmed that David Vick or whatever his name is today, is a fraud!! He went as far as to read me my rights over the phone! ! I had a DA friend to contact them!!!

Just because a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt does not mean you owe it
If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:

1.    Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
2.     Demand a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.
3.    Do not pay  the collection agent or anyone else a  DIME  until the debt is validated.

Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply block their calls and ignore them.

If they continue to bother you, and you know you do not owe any money,  tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  You might have to yell at the scammer and talk over him or her.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.  If you can find them.

Total scam.  Meant to frighten you.  I'm familiar with the problems of the autistic community.  This is outrageous.  First off, writing a bad check is a crime and it is handled by public prosecutors and law enforcement.  Debt collectors have nothing to do with law enforcement and nothing to do with bad checks.  Only judges issue warrants and they are NOT issued to debt collectors.  Warrants are only issued to duly constituted officers of the law and served in hand by duly constituted law officers.  They have no powers of arrest.  Being in ordinary civil debt is not a crime and you cannot be arrested for it.

Ignore them.  Total scam.  Why would your county "initiate" legal proceedings on a private debt.  Governmental entities do not involve themselves in private debts.  Just another example of the stupidity of these particular scammers.

My husband and I  received a call from a 404-937-3588 #. The woman he spoke to was rude and hung up on him after stating they were looking for me because I had committed check fraud. I called the company back who claims to be "arbitrary services fraud division " . I spoke to a "chief cooper" who gave me some bogus badge # and told me he works for the Fulton county Georgia state attorneys office. Might I add that I am a Florida resident. This was in regards to an online payday loan from 2008. I was told I was being charged with 2 felonies (malicious intent ...) and that if they couldn't get it approved to make an arrangement that I would have to turn myself in to my local sheriffs office.  He told me to call back in an hour. I asked why he couldn't call me back and he stated because they don't do call backs. I've contacted the state attorney's office and notified them as well as filed a complaint with the state of Georgia consumer affairs division and I will be filing a complaint with the ftc as well. I work for a very reputable collection agency and this is beyond abusive practices and totally against the law.

Latosha... they called me too.  These folks are a bunch of crap.  The woman "ALWAYS HAS TO GET HER DIRECTOR"... who gets on the phone acting like he is Big Willy.  It is my guess that you ties him into a phone "line" and he gets on.  They have no doubt brought old debts and are trying to collect on them.  I even asked them if this was a bill.. and what was the bill for.  They were trying to talk over me and not answering any questions.  He then rudely said "well if you won't cooperate we will come pick you up"...  He is a real butt wipe and not convincing at all.  I reported them to the real Fulton County Superior Court and gave all the names and numbers they are using.  Fulton County was VERY interested in this bunch.  Little did they know that I work for the court system here in my State and I have contacts all over the country.  Please.. I never heard from these losers again.  Try a different scam guys.. we already know the deal with you losers.

Got a call saying they were with arbitrator services and they were suing my daughter (age 35) and I would be a party to lawsuit.

Voice message call stating they were Arbitrary Services, Financial Fraud division and I should immediately respond and 'govern myself accordingly',before the case is turned over to an attorney, all in a very threatening tone. I returned the call to 904-328-3257; it rings 3 times and stops. Scam....scum

Got the same message from the same 512-717-4986 number.  Their names were Laura Carter, Adam Pedalick (or similar), and Travis Dean (who was a paralegal).

He called me too right now talking about my brother and that he needs to call now or he will take legal action wouldn't tell me what it was about. But he was a paralegal phone number was blocked! This is absolutely ridiculous. He made it sound like I did something wrong and I was a criminal when I told him I haven't talked to my brother in a while

I just got a call from them as well left me feeling very uneasy! Would not give me any info of i did not comply and give them my personal info.

Court matters

An actual Process Server is not going to have any conversation with you about any debt you owe, nor will they demand payment from you. If something like this happens, immediately call local law enforcement and make a full report including as much descriptive information as you can give them of the person impersonating a court officer.

I just got a called from them today they had my name address an SS# what do I do?!?!?!

Be aware of "Lt. Thomas Wells" ! He had me thinking that if my son's so called debt was not paid today that he would be arrested by 6:00 p.m. When I told him that my son didn't have any debt he said okay and never called back . Straight scam look out .
