- Tired Of Your CallsI get these calls all the time. Sometimes from a different number. They left the following message:
"Uh yes, Jeremy S.... here. My number is 888-618-5685. I was asked to contact you in regards to your OSHA compliance. Once again its Jeremy S.... 888-618-5685. Thank you."
His voice changes with additional inflection on "OSHA Compliance."
Here's your problem Jeremy. If that is your real name.
1. You do not reference a company name which is required when telemarketing.
2. I'm on the Do Not Call Registry.
3. I am not required to be in compliance with OSHA. I do not have employees. I am a single person business.
4. You aren't even on the same planet with me when it comes to sales skills.
Let's break down your lame excuse for a sales pitch.
"Um yes, its Jeremy S...."
Um yes? Thats your lead in? Are you afraid to speak to people? Are you being so shady that you show your lack of belief in what you do in your first word of your message? Free Tip: If you speak to people as part of your job, maybe you should work on using words other than Um. It makes you sound like you don't have confidence in yourself or what you are selling.
"I was asked to contact you"
Hmm. By who, may I ask? MIB? The President? Your boss at the telemarketing call center? I can hear all the other people in the background around your cubicle yapping on their phones with the same pitch.
Scary inflection "OSHA Compliance." Now the word OSHA is supposed to get my hairs standing on end because it is a Government agency right? Then the very suggestive word of "compliance" is supposed to suggest that I am not in compliance. Right? Now as a prospect I am supposed to be concerned and my ears are supposed to be at attention to hear what you have for me correct? You are going to save my company right? You are going to keep me out of trouble right?
Unfortunately your approach is sneaky, misleading, untruthful and illegal.
Stop calling me!- Caller: They Didn't Say
