- Call type: Debt collector
- sounds like... replies to Jean....another scam - if you were in trouble, you'd receive MAIL via USPS certfied or registered mail, or a process server would show up. Real process servers do not call you ahead of time, nor do lawyers call you if you're going to be sued - they just file a lawsuit.

Follow the steps in what you need to know. A legitimate debt collector agency should not have a problem with giving you a real business name and address you can google and verify via google street view, BBB etc.
For extortion Scam Operations, file reports with the FBI, your state attorney general and Department Of Justice,FTC & FCC..

And folks should consider looking at maybe getting call blocking device or phone....you can Google them and many are around $60 or so. - CWG40 replies to JeanThere is no trial pending. There is no pre-trial processing going on. That's just scammer double talk. They are debt collectors and mostly likely they are trying to scare you into paying them something. Tell 'em you know it's a scam and that you'll be reporting them to FTC. Don't talk to them. Don't return their calls. Block their calls.
