I press one to be connected to a live operator, and as soon as they find out a) I want to be taken off their list, and b) I am not the homeowner, they hang up. I get two-three of these calls daily.

I have been getting them too. I called the number back and It gives you an option to be removed from their list.

Called and hung up right after saying hello.

Just got a phone call from this number and it hung up. I tried to call it back and it was disconnected.

Left a voicemail message about lowering credit card rates. Obvious phishing/spam caller, referred to a non-existent previous conversation and information about me that's made up.
Requested that I call back, 1-888-261-4568. This number is already pretty well documented on this site.

Called me, a man said "Ah, hello?" I replied with "Can I help you" Who is this?" There was no reply. I waited for a few seconds and repeated my request for the man to identify himself and I got absolutely nothing. We were still connected as he called my cell phone (thanks so much for the long distance call charge!) but I then hung up.

I live in an apartment and it is unbelievable how many times (on my cell phone which only 5 people have the number of) I get calls for home improvements. Including direct mail adverts for siding, windows or lawn services.

I got a call last week from the same number as above except the last number was a2 instead of a 6. This was a telemarketer with information on how I could save money on my, wait for it, cemetery plot!!!
I told the cemetery plot person that I didn't believe in using beautiful land to plant dead bodies in and planned on being cremated, plus what would I care about saving money at that time, I am going be dead right?

Given the other comments, I'm wondering why a telemarketer would call numbers and hang up.  Perhaps there is money to be made...?

I just got a call, too.  Man said two words "Ah, Hi" and then disconnected.  Maybe it's a broken robo-caller system?

called said "uh hi" and hung up , called back and the line is disconnected

I might believe the broken robo caller thing, we are all getting the same thing.

Just called here, I answered and said Hello twice.  He said, uh, hi... hung up.  I called it back, disconnected number.

Same thing here, just as I was getting my kid in the house from the school bus. Answered the call, partial word, he hung up. I really don't appreciate garbage like this because, a) it's my cell phone number which only family, friends and school officials have and b) my kid is special needs and I really DO NOT need phone calls just as I'm getting him transitioned into being home from a full day of school. Looked up the number to find out who it is so I can gripe them out but no luck. I keep my number private for a reason and that is so I don't have to deal with crap like that... Gah!

Just got same call. Pretty sure they want you to call back to verify they have a good number. Damn and I fell for it. Bet I get a whole bunch more spam calls now.

Just got a call from this number got a "ah hi" then nothing I try to call it back and I get nothing no ring but the call says its connected wierd..
