Got two (2) phone calls today from this number ( 407-207-2345 JNR Adjustments). 1st call: I let VM answer and caller left no message; caller terminated the call immediately after hearing VM greeting. Twenty (20)  minutes after 1st call JNR Adjustments rang my home again so this time I picked-up and answered it.  I admit, I was not exactly friendly. I said, "Just what do WANT," JNR Adjustments!!?? State your business! And be advised, I am recording this telephone call (I was indeed recording the call)." The caller immediately hung-up.

There was a fire in the apartment I rented . The landlord had insurance and told me I am not required to get my own insurance. Months after fire this company calls telling me I owe $31000 . I know how the apartment looked like and there is no way it was more then 5-10 thousand. (landlord did additional damage to get more money) I ask them to email me list of things in supposed to pay for. A month goes by and I don't get nothing.thet call asking for $ again. I said I'm not just going to start paying for something just coz they say so. They said they would mail the list....and I asked them to mail it with option of only me receiving it and signature required. Again I don't get nothing. And today they called again...no mssg. I think iys some kind of scam coz the landlord told me he only got 4,000. But they ask me for 31,000. What the hell?

Its the second call I have received, first call I was Unable to answer, they didn't leave a voicemail. I called back and it rang like twice and the call stopped. I dialed again and it went straight to voicemail. I received a call this morning again, it woke me up, they did not leave a voicemail, i called back and a woman answered, she informed me who i had a loan with(my school), she already has my number, and she also gave me my address and zip code. It seems like a legit place, but still sketchy...which worries me, especially after reading most of these stories. How did they get my info? The know my name, number and address??? That reassures me that they will keep contacting me, also, she informed me that they had already sent a letter, it should arrive by "April 10, 2016". She had also put me on hold, then it seemed like she was trying to answer another call, but she came back to me and she basically re-answered the call, she stated her name, company and asked if i could please hold.....my first thought was, "I thought i was already on hold???" so it seemed as if she was either nervous, or too busy to know what she was doing. She said she was from "J&R Adjustment" i googled it, and its actually "JNR Adjustment", so i guess i misunderstood. just thought i should mention this to inform others its basically the same.

Recently I received a call from a representative said he was from JNR collection agency and was attempting to collect debt for their client Budget Rental Car, and was from damages incurred on rental car returned 11 November 2015. I did not have a car on that date and had actually returned it on the 9th of November. Did not give  any information and told caller not to call me again. A few days later received collections action letter in the mail and with out return address to respond to their claim. They also did attempt to call me again from same Orlando number which I did not answer but instead had that number blocked from calling me. I had dispute with Budget Rental car concerning said damages which did appear to me until 27 January 2016 via a charge to my corporate charge card. When I returned the car, there were no documented damaged by Budget, their claim surfaces 2 months later and their claim happened after car was returned. So my companies Risk management department filed dispute of damage with out response from Budget. Risk management turned over the case to the legal department who's attorneys then took Budgets claim and initiated fraudulent claims action. Budget finally responded with their documentation of damaged which did not match my return document. So they dropped claim for damages and case was settled and closed in my companies favor. End of story, not quite since Budget has now taken what was closed case of potential corporate credit card fraud and now made it a personal consumer collection action by selling case to JNR. They have chosen to bring this into my personal financial life and threaten my excellent credit rating. We now plan legal action for what was once a possible mistake and elevate to felony fraud. Since JNR is responsible as collections agency to validate any account they pick up to take action on, they have made major mistake.  By taking this note from Budget  and turning into a consumer credit collection action for a card which is not my own  now gives me the right for file suit for damages and harrasment. But first will enjoy waiting for JNR's response since now its been elevated and hat they will now be ansering to maor corporation, Hey thanks for your time I pretty annoyed about this matter.

    Absolutely annoyed
This is supposedly jnr adjustment company based in FL. Somehow got my number and calls me several times but does not leave any voicemail. This supposed collections agency claim I owe my ex-employer (a call phone company) from more than a year ago (followed up with the company and I don't owe anything) but once on the phone they hang up. Clearly fraud if they can't even leave a message or call back information.

Hmmm seems fishy. I started getting calls from this number on my cell. No VM left because my phone blocks #'s not in my contact list.  I've never rented a car, never had a student loan, own my own home and never been in an accident.  But all these comments are claiming that's what this company is collecting for.

Mathew called me and claimed $600 was due from me, from a rental  from Hertz in June, due to damages.  He says the name of his firm is JNR (which comes up under "The Claims Center" web site).  When I explained the car was not damaged when checked into Hertz, he asked how did I turn the car in?  I told him he works for Hertz, he ought to know the answer to that question, but he did not.  Rather, he asked know how I planned to pay, credit card or my insurance company.  Oddly, he had good info about when and where I rented the car, so seemed legit.  So called Hertz, and they show no claim for that date, and also no knowledge about this collector.  Called back to collector, and he told me Hertz service center is not necessarily aware of this department (collection agency), he provided me a claim number, and said I'd receive info in the mail.  His tone was angry (so was mine).  Their online presence makes them look legit.... will be interesting to know if it pans out

Continually calls. Never leaves a message, hangs up. You tell them they reached the wrong person and they become threatening. Guy told me to stop lying and kept addressing me as this other person. I haven’t had anything towed or rented any cars. Blocked.

I would suggest a certified, return receipt "not me" letter.  JNR adjustment is found on the internet.  If this is a subrogation claim, then they do not have to follow FDCPA regulations.  However they should not be calling you in error either.

First, you should make a complaint at this Federal Agency, and while there you should also read up on how debt collection is supposed to work as well as what your rights in this matter are: https://www.consumerfinance.gov/

Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.
