- KevinGOT A CALL AT 6:07 AM for another party from someone who immediately recognized I wasn't the desired party. When I asked who it was she said Michelle. A company I believe called Digital Risk, when I called back. Appears to be the type of company involved in financial matters. www.digitalrisk.com is the likely culprit. Collection Agency or verification of some financial matters.

- KSI received a call at my work phone number from 407-215-2903. I answered with my name and they immediately told me they had reached the wrong number. I asked who they were trying to reach (since they called at work I thought they might just have the wrong extension). They said they were looking for Priscilla Salazar. I told them there is no Priscilla Salazar at my company and they said thank you and hung up.
- jan6/19/2010 Received call at 7:11am on a Saturday morning! Fortunately, my ringer was turned off. No message left. If it is business related, definitely calling before the "allowed" hours!
- BobThe company is Digital Risk out of Florida. They called me at 6:23am to ask me something about an appraisal that I completed for a mortgage. The reason for calling is for me to only confirm I signed my appraisal for a certain property, which is stupid anyhow. I am an appraiser, however, I have not done work for them at all. By me confirming something over the phone that I did not provide to them personally, just opens all kinds of liability for me, fraud is rampant. Last time they called was a couple of months at 6:05 am, on the weekend and I told her what time it was and she said, "It is not 6:05 AM where I am!!!" Seeing other posts, it seems that this company does not know that time zones exist. They must believe that when it is 10:00am in Florida, it must be 10:00AM everywhere else in the world.

- DM| 1 replyMy daughter received a call from 407-215-2900 on her cell phone. I don't know what time the call was received, but they left a voicemail to "call back as soon as you receive this message". I have not done so. If they are a financial company, what business could they possibly have with a minor??? If they called her number by mistake, based on previous posts (ie: wrong #), I think they need to improve their dialing skills!
- Jenn| 9 repliesin the middle of a lawsuit with my moertgage company for illegally foreclosing on my property while in the modification program. Now Digital Risk has decided to send my boss paperwork for her to fill out witout my consent. Unless they think using an old signature from May of 07 from God knows where (probably my crooked mortgage co)
constitutes a valid signature they must be crazy. Sending to the attorney- Caller: DIgital Risk

- Gilderon replies to Jenn| 7 repliesDigital Risk, LLC is a risk mitigation firm based out of Maitland, Florida. They review performing and non-performing loans for various clients. It is not a scam.
- SKV| 1 replyDigital Risk has contacted my old employer, three jobs ago, requesting employment verification in 04-06. my loan has been closed for a year as a short sale. Digital Risk faxed a copy of my authorization to release information signed in May of 2006. the authorization clearly states that release is for this loan and anyone who the loan is sold to. This is obviouslly not the case. There has to be a expiration of that release! I can not reach Digital Risk..

- JillMy husband received a call at work today. This guy at Digital Risk William Claybourn called from 407-215-2900 said he was verifying loans that had been closed in 2005. He also stated he was from our mortgage company, umm ya not the case at all. This guy said he was just "verifying information on closed loans" why on earth would you need to do that? what is the purpose of that? why would you fax my husbands employer requesting this information? This guy didn't have many answers for me and I am sure this is some sort of scam. We are now going to have to be watching our credit and see if anything comes up. Of course he didn't get information but how messed up does this all sound?? Aggravated

- KAGot a call from this number at 8AM at work on election day. Caller ID showed this number and a voicemail message, but when I listened to the message, all I got was a hang up.
- JoseI just recieved a call from this number on my cell phone while I was on call with a family memeber. I let it go to VC. Later that day I checked it asking me to return the phone to verify a loan request I put in for in 2007. I was wierd b.c I have not put a loan request in. Now they had my attention. I'm thinking someone had used my name to try to pull out a loan. So I called them back and a sweet lady asked me to verfy my name and if i owned a certain piece of property. I told her that it was not me. I asked her how she got my number. She replied that she did a search for my name and came up with my number. Now I'm going to call my phone carrier to put my number on the no call list and block ppl from seeing it.

- 407-215-2904Same type of call here as well. They call at various times stating they want to ensure I am represented in a matter of a refinance back in 2005. The property was foreclosed on and short sold out from under me while I was in loan mitigation. Anyway this seems like a real scam to me.
If you look at there website, Digital Risk looks like a loan loss recovery scam.- Caller: Digital Risk
- Called By Digital RiskI received a similar call as most of you have. So I performed some research and called them back. Its almost impossible to speak to anyone their who will identify who they are calling for and the root purpose. Interesting enough the receptionist is a digital recording. Block this companies number and or its access to your online data.

- DotI too have got calls from this company. They call my house and cell. I got the cell call when i was at work, and since I was driving couldn't pick up. We did a modification on our house. Things have all been settled with the loan and bank. So not sure why they want us. They never leave a message, just hang up.

- Amy| 1 replyI think this company is doing fraud, it's a question of time some attorney office will sue them.
They call actual and previous employees to get financial information using an old signature you provided when you originated a loan in the past ( it looks like they are targeting foreclosures and short sales). I think they are working for the banks, they are trying to create a profile of your financial situation so maybe they will try to sue you in the future. The way they are getting the information smells very illegal for me. You need to talk to a lawyer! - Cynthia replies to AmySame here, they sent a fax to my employer asking for financial information and attaching a release signed by me (where they got that I'll never know), probably from old loan docs. The company identified on the verification is Mila, Inc. (Mortgage Investment Lending Associates) who went out of business back in 2007??? Can you say fraud/scam.
- cherylAs an employer I received a fax from DigitalRisk today in regards to a long term employee. They want info from 2005 thru 2007 and faxed me a signature of something he signed 4 years ago. I will be discussing with the employee before I do anything.

- HR2011 replies to Gilderon| 6 repliesReally this is not a SCAM???? Then why are they trying to verify employment on a person that has been deceased for almost a year.... Just asking
- HR2011I just received a fax from DigitalRisk and they wanted information on a former employee who has not worked with our firm since 2009, and not only that this former employee is deceased. This all is too fishy to me....
- Caller: Digital Risk
- Gilderon replies to HR2011| 2 repliesIt doesn't matter if the borrower is deceased. This is how it works:
A person receives a loan from an originator, however they misrep'd their income, so it is a fraudulent loan. The loan is sold from bank to bank over the new few years. The loan goes into default because the borrower stops making payments. The originator who currently owns the loan hires Digital Risk to do a forensic review of the loan. This is why they make phone calls. They request a verification of employment from the borrower's employer and find out that he/she did not make as much money as they listed on their loan application, therefore the current owned of the loan can go back to the originator and force them to buy the loan back because the income was misrepresented.
I repeat: Digital Risk, LLC is not a scam. It is a legimate risk mitigation firm.
