Received a call - one of those trip scams. Made them take me off list.

got home to see we missed this call -
we called back and got a poor quality
connection and a male answered with only
''notification center''
we asked center for what business entity?
he refused and asked us for our number...
we again asked him the simple question,
what business or company do you represent?
again he declined & when told we will report this
he said that was fine but he was not about to say!
we are in Nova Scotia, Canada but the call comes
out of central Florida - can anyone confirm origin?

called back this number said i won a trip to disney world. started asking about a visa SCAM

got a call from a giggly girl on what sounded like a mobile phone and asked for my husband by first name only? would not give any info as to the company they represent, we asked for THEIR phone number and it was like pulling teeth. second girl just kept asking for our visa number, over and over again,before we had even agreed to what they were telling us! first girl told us initially trip was worth 3 grand, in the next sentence told us it was worth six......5 nights and 4 days in Disney, ALL EXPENSES PAID, plus rental car for 7 days. what do we need 7 day rental for? an extra 4 days and 3 nights in Daytona, and our choice of Grand Bahama or Cancun, plus we can bring two extra people at no charge, for 3 thousand dollars? and all you want from us is 388 dollars and our visa number...come on now. scary part is, they knew my e mail address, my birthdate, both of our names, AND the first 2 digits of our credit card...yikes!

Don't be too worried about the credit card info. It's not such a big deal that the caller knew the first 2 digits of your credit card; the first 1 or 2 are standard for the type of card you have: 4=Visa, 5=MasterCard, 6=Discover. The next 4-5 numbers represent your bank number. The digits after the bank number through digit 15 are the account number.

Still annoying though. Oh and NEVER give anyone the  3digits on the back of your card (unless you are the person who initiated the call to purchase something)

It's a fraud ring operating under names such as "Summer Bay Resorts" and "Preferred Guest Resorts" and so forth.  Do not answer the phone or speak with them, or you will receive hundreds of calls a month from them and other criminals they sell your number to.  Do not fall for their "free facation" scams.

Don't fall for this scam or your credit card number will be sold to other criminals and you will have to cancel your cards and have to your credit repaired and deal with identity theft.  I repeat, this is a scam and a fraud, do not fall for it.

These girls are really convincing. I feel sorry for anyone who falls for this, but I'm sure many people have. They truly sound like a legitimate operation, except of course for the too good to be true vacation package they promise you. I asked right up front whether they were going to ask me for money at any point in the call, and they said no. Then at the end, after one girl passed me through to a Supervisor for the verification, the Supervisor asked for $388 and a Credit Card number. The only reason I entertained the call at all was because my wife said she did register on-line for a chance to win. They said it was sponsored by VISA and Disney.

I too got scammed. We bought one of their packages with free nights for $300. The first day we arrived in Orlando, they put us up at the Summer Bay Inn - a roach infested motel - which forced us to pay $$$ to upgrade to a condo at their resort! In Ft lauderdale, they put us up at a resort which was 1 hour from the beach, kept up waiting 90 minutes to start a presentation at 2:30 in the afternoon! and then tried to keep us there for another 2 hours for a timeshare presentation!
Stay away from this company!!!
