What exactly was "valid" about the caller, then? Maybe you could start over and not be shy with details.

Hi!  I received a few calls from this number too & confirmed with Microsoft that it is one of their third party vendors helping them follow up with customers.  The gal was most helped and mentioned in the beginning of the call, she was following up to see if I was having any more issues with Windows.  It's a legit number & outfit called Convergys!

Do Tell - You were called back for what reason?  I have a feeling this number is not associated with MS or Convergys.  When a post from 2013 calls this a MS scam, why would MS or their agents use the same number?

Seems legit.  Got a call from this number at work and told the dispatcher I was not available.   Immediately after I got another call on my cell phone from the same number and dismissed it.  Then got an email from Microsoft Office Support saying they noticed I purchased Office 365 and have not taken advantage of the free custom domain offering and if I am interested in help setting it up to respond to the email.  All of which is correct.  I am the systems administrator for my company.  The phone number in the signature is an international number so most likely a 3rd party but I'm still not clicking on any links!  lol
