One time -- please continue to hold... please continue to hold... please continue to hold... I couldn't continue to hold after a couple of minutes, as a busines call was coming in.

2nd time -- silence ... I asked, "Who's there?" several times... silence.

My caller ID indicated on several occasions over the past couple of months that this number had tried to call me... but there was never any message.  If this was legitimate and not a scam, there would have been SOME sort of innocuous message encouraging me to return the call.

I am not delinquent on ANY debts, so if this is a debt collector, why am I being harassed? If this person or entity has ANY belief that what they are doing is legitimate, and if it regards an alleged debt, then they would have my mailing address in file and would mail me. I have received nothing, so it can only be a SCAM!

Found out the telephone is through "Omnipoint Miami E License" ... meaning it's all by computer, so they can have multiple "locations" ... and it reports the location as Lake Wales, FL.  

Somewhere last month in the reverse number look-up process after seeing several calls in my caller ID from my absence, I recall seeing someone give a list of multiple locations in different part of the USA that were a part of this questionably legal operation that had many, many harassessment and/or annoyance reports, some related to possible debt collection (?) which still would be questionable under the FDCPA.  I am not delinquent on anything, so that doesn't make sense to me.
