Went on to tell them I know they're A1 Solar, I know they are at 5632 Van Nuys, I know their email, their ph#s, their relation to NATIONALRENEWABLEENERGYCENTER.COM; basically all the info you rendered. I went on and on and on and that they appear to be an illegal enterprise and asked how they liked receiving bs calls like this? Basically, got long-winded to use up the email time. Everyone should do this. M.C. has given us good info including ph#s to give these [***] a taste of their own medicine.

been calling me for weeks now on landline...how do I block call on landline...driving me nuts...calls at least 3 to 4 times a day...yikes!

Same deal for me.
I have 2 suggestions:
1. accept the appointment with A1 Solar and don't answer the door (or just be out, or leave a note asking to be taken off the phone list)
2. go to the National Renewable Energy Center Careers page and tell them what you think.  Include a large file attachment http://nationalrenewableenergycenter.com/send-resume/ 

Don, I met the A1 Solar guy today.
Handed him a stack of printed out complaints from this and other web sites.
He unapologetically told me that their telemarketer generates lots of leads.
I recommend we collectively dilute the quality of the leads by accepting these appointments and wasting their time.
A1 Solar will get the message pretty quickly to change their tactics.
He agreed to ask the telemarketer to remove my number.

My phone company will not block this number (or another one doing the same thing: 408-262-4239). I receive these auto-dial calls over and over. Finally picked up this morning and they are some solar company that would not identify themselves or the company name. I told them to put me on their do not call list and the guy said he couldn't do that even if he wanted to (bull!!).  and I am verified on the Do Not Call registry. I filled out an FTC complaint last week and know that someone has the name of the company (Thank you Don from Campbell!) I am going to complain again. y phone provider instructed me to file a complaint with the FTC/ Do Not Call registry and hopefully by the end of the month the FTC will fine them big time and tell them to knock it off.

I have AT&T Uverse and I was able to block the number by logging in to my account, manage home phone, manage features, turned on "call block" and entered the number. Hopefully this will stop them from calling. On the DNC registry but kept getting calls from this number with no one on the line and would call back and hear the number was disconnected. Annoying!!!

Lowlifes dbags.  what fools would do business with these [***] that cold call you multiple times a day?  You'd have to be stupider than these telescum.

ongoing calls from this number, no message, no one answers when I pick up.  I estimate at least 10 calls in the last week.

This company (A1 Solar/ National Renewable Energy) is most likely rotating through several DNIS numbers every month to avoid FTC/FCC fines and regulations. Any company that violates the Do Not Call Registry gets a warning and when they do, they likely change their caller ID. In April, this company was 408-262-4197. I am betting that by June - It will be something else.

I have received over 25 calls all times of day and night from this number 408-262-3239, in the past 3 weeks, spoke to the phone company yesterday and she suggested I block calls with no  name attached which I did.  Not 2 hours later and I get another call this time with the name of California Call.  I am now going to call the FCC and file a complaint

my landline is with at+t so I forward calls to my iphone (also at+t) and am able to block as many as i like. calls to my landline may ring once or twice, but as the call is forwarded, it is blocked and won't ring through. hope this helps

Have been receiving calls from this number about three times a day and sometimes four times. At first nobody is on the line and disconnect.  Lately I said "Here we again haaa you idiot.... why do not you talk??? Someone on the other line said "Yeah" and hang up."  I don't know what satisfaction this LOW LIFE gets from doing this? That was yesterday... Today they called again twice already.  I guess this number is somehow connected with 408-262-4197, who was doing the same until I spoke to somebody who tried to sell me "solar power" and told the guy that your company/number been calling my number for weeks already with no response.  I told to stop calling and told him that I am going to report them to FTC, which I did.  And this number started calling after that, so I assume that they are "Solar seller" too and I reported with FTC as well.

These [***] new spoof # is 650-364-6788.  You'll be getting many calls showing this # until these [***] are found and mercifully shot.

NOW they are using 650-365-3691 too! So far I have 408-262-4629; 408-262-4197; 650-364-6788. Talked to 4 reps: rude guy, Calvin, Lisa, William Montgomery, and a man who claimed he was the Vice-President, Alejandro Rodriguez (Very Condescending for a VP) He says they are not telemarketers because they are not asking to sell you something and therefore are except from the Do Not Call Registry and other telephone consumer protection laws. Which tells you he is full of crap- He needs to review the Electronic Code of regulations sections 64.1200 thru 64.1201!) as included in the legal definition of a telemarketer is someone who makes calls for the purpose of obtaining information that may be used for the direct solicitation of a sale of consumer goods or services!!)

Anyways- I scream and yell.. I have NO IDEA why they want to talk to someone who doesn't want to talk to them?!?!? I wish I could snap my fingers and make them go away, but I will probably have to put up with it for awhile until I get my certified letters and formal written complaints in order. I am sending my complaint to my local D.A. Consumer Protection Unit as well as the City of Van Nuys, where these guys are apparently located. Complained to FTC, FCC, and I guess I'll just have to wait and see. Meanwhile, I continue to log my calls, take photos of the Caller IDs, and write down what happened. I think all folks can do is keep spreading the word...

You can identify them using their website registration NATIONALRENEWABLEENERGYCENTER.COM (now closed).  These characters have many names and addresses but their web site registration listed phone numbers are typically real. In this case they are: 818-857-1913 Catherine, 818-358-2851 c. salgado, 877-681-3976 & 877-593-2995. The phone numbers are real if you want to call or flood them with SMS text
