Started calling me today as well...At least 8 so far...each time I pick up it is usualy just silence.  
I did answer one today and they said they were calling PG&E customers...the start of a sales pitch for solar I received a couple of times the week before, so I hung up on them after a few words.

Based on all the complaints above, it seems FTC or FCC or whoever should be able to crack down on them.

The best way is to block the numbers: 408-264-2442 and 408-264-3328

This number calls me every 2 hours.  I have tried blocking to no avail.  Have filed a complaint with the FTC.  PG & E states this is a scam. Does anyone know who these jerks are so that I can call them every 2 hours?

They call several times each day.  Today I answered and they asked for the person of the house.  When I told them the person was not available,  they called me a liar!  This needs to stop!

Same problem. My first report here. I get calls several times a day now from 408-264-244.
Today on one call someone actually was there and wanted to sell solar panels.
I said please take me off the list. They did not. I would like to join in a lawsuit
against this sort of activity which is clearly unlawful harassment  I will keep watching this
site for information. When you complain to the FCC or BBB please give details so others
can follow. If enough people file they may pay attention. Probably this is outside police jurisdiction -
or threshold for doing anything, but if the business involved can be identified and shamed on the
web it might help.

I am getting calls from 408 264 2442 10 or more time per day.  No one is there if I answer.  No message left when I let it go.  Can I make it stop?  I have already done the 'do not call' registry.

Probably time to buy a call blocker device, app, or phone.
Google "call blocker" to see the various types, and find one that best meets your needs.

I have taken all the calls from these various entities and forwarded them back to themselves - no more annoying calls from these people.

Same here, they say something like they work for California Energy, and on behalf of PG&E they want to help cut my electric bill and offer a Solar option.. To date, I have received over 15 calls in the last couple weeks from 408-262-2442 and 3328.. Some 4 or 5 calls a day. I have ask them to stop but they keep coming. So for what its worth, I go online and file a complaint with the FCC for EACH and EVERY call.. The FCC asks for a Date and Time of each call.. just maybe, the FCC will get tired of my complaints and will finally track this idiot down and do some damage control.. Crossing my fingers..  Tried googling "California Energy", nothing comes up?!

Bogus operations do not care about the law.

408-264-2442 called.  Didn't pickup.  Getting calls once a day with the same 408-264 and then the last 4 are different.  Totally annoying!

I have been getting calls from (408)264-2442 also.  I ask every time to stop calling and they hang up on me or argue with me.  I am getting furious.  How do I block them?

[WHO ARE THEY?]

408-264-XXXX Caller ID hijacked numbers. The following companies 1) to 7) are said to be associated and hired telemarketers with these scam calls. The telemarketers they hire not only hijacks private numbers but also violates several FTC laws.


[WHAT THEY DO?]

They have been calling on one of these numbers during weekdays and Sundays with average of 10 to 20 calls per day. They keep switching the last four digits repeating the same calls. The number uses the caller ID of innocent third person as a victim and pretend they are not scams. The same old method when you pick up there is no one there and hungs up. When you call back the number says it is of a terminated or disconnected line. National Do Not Call Registry means nothing to them.
