rec'd a call, display was "unknown", the party calling said they were from Renewable Energy something,  When I notified them the number they were calling was on the do not call list - they said not to get all professional on them, I know my number is not on no do not call list and then they hung up on me.   Filing a complaint.

Received a call from 408-264‑254‍7. When I logged into my Comcast phone acct, the incoming call was listed for "Bruck Scott U" of San Jose. I was also getting calls from Renewable energy, but asked to take doff the call list.

I believe the "auto-dialing" software they are using is still calling our numbers, but not routing the call to a call representative.

Got call from this number everyday. It is from National Renewable Solar Center. Trying to sell you solar system. If you are on Do-Not-Call list. Please file a complaint against them.

This is some scam "energy saving company" that uses false caller I.D. names and phone numbers to trick you into picking up the phone.  For example, the name "Drew Beveridge"  pops up with the # 408-264-2646 and the name "David Bruck" pops up with the number 408-264-2547.  Somehow they have found a way to mask their number with recently "out of service phone numbers."  They continually come up with new numbers to get you to pick-up.  If you do not recognize a number, just don't answer, as telling them not to call and/or telling them to put them on the "do not call list" only encourages them continue the harassment.  I hate these annoying [***]!

I have received multiple calls from different numbers with a 408-264 prefix for weeks now. Blocked them all and finally today picked up this one and told the woman to take my number off their list. She just talked right over me and would not listen to one word I said, so I hung up. It's such a waste of my time! Arrgh!

This call is from A1 Solar Power, a solar company based in Van Nuys, California (with six branches throughout the state: San Diego, Costa Mesa, Carpenteria, Petaluma, Concord, and San Jose) or one of its telemarketing fronts.  

A1 Solar Power’s telemarketing fronts usually spoof both the Caller-ID name and the Caller-ID number.

Called but no one was on the line

They call ever hour very annoying. I now have the number blocked

They call night and day, at least 4 times a week and never answer. I get unexpected calls during class, work, all hours of the day. when I call back, it gives me a disdisconnect tone

Received 5 calls this morning from this number.  All hung when it went to voice mail.  Tired of it.

[WHO ARE THEY?]

408-264-XXXX Caller ID hijacked numbers. The following companies 1) to 7) are said to be associated and hired telemarketers with these scam calls. The telemarketers they hire not only hijacks private numbers but also violates several FTC laws.


[WHAT THEY DO?]

They have been calling on one of these numbers during weekdays and Sundays with average of 10 to 20 calls per day. They keep switching the last four digits repeating the same calls. The number uses the caller ID of innocent third person as a victim and pretend they are not scams. The same old method when you pick up there is no one there and hungs up. When you call back the number says it is of a terminated or disconnected line. National Do Not Call Registry means nothing to them.

This is a known spammer by the name of Ryan Lenahan who's been busted for SMS spam by the FTC. He's now spamming using an autodialer to his stolen data/customer list.

Ryan uses spoofed caller id in the NPA|NXX of your local exchange to try to get you to pickup.

1/2 the time he uses his tools to simply verify your number is in service and live, the other half is for him to market spam to you.
