This call is from A1 Solar Power, a solar company based in Van Nuys, California (with six branches throughout the state: San Diego, Costa Mesa, Carpenteria, Petaluma, Concord, and San Jose) or one of its telemarketing fronts.  

A1 Solar Power’s telemarketing fronts usually spoof both the Caller-ID name and the Caller-ID number or use recently disconnected numbers.  Occasionally, they will spoof the active number of an unsuspecting victim.

darn them! have an early morning apptmt at the house and jumped out of the shower to answer the phone - only to be hung up on. of course calling back - no dice. "the number you have called has been changed. the new number is UNKNOWN." is the recording you'll get if you call back. who can we start complaining to so that this will stop, this misrepresentation by using bogus phone numbers. I'm so sick and tired of it.

I keep getting a variation of this number 408-264
Someone actually spoke when I answered the phone the last time and I told them to stop calling my number.

Scumbags use different numbers to try to confuse their prey....I just keep blocking them!!

Yeah, they keep calling.  Don't know the number, so won't answer.

Got calls from this number: (408)-264-3071 several times. Left no msg.
From Google search I got the following info. Not sure if he is the one who make the call or if his credentials is hijacked.
In any case, I am blocking this number.

A1 Solar Power wants to send one of their salesmen to your house for a sales presentation during which they will encourage you to install their solar panels.

Wife and I both got calls from this number on our cell phones, just seconds apart this morning. Reading earlier posts, will look into reporting A1 Solar to California Attorney General.

Just answered since it's a local number...and they hung up! GRRRRRR

Getting calls from 408-264-3106 "Emata Shelley" and 408-264-3071. Same as above, an obvious telemarketer.

interesting telemarketing technique--why bother calling if they're going to hang up?  What's the point?

Calls incessantly and there is never anyone on the line

I keep getting calls from this number.  I have no idea who this person is and I sure don't want to keep receiving these calls daily.

These jerks call me every morning at 9 a.m. And every Sunday morning at 10. Its hella irritating and I wish they would stop!
Usually I just answer and then hang up when I recognize the phone number. I just wish they would stop calling me .Somebody know how to block their number? if so please post the information .Thanks

[WHO ARE THEY?]

408-264-XXXX Caller ID hijacked numbers. The following companies 1) to 7) are said to be associated and hired telemarketers with these scam calls. The telemarketers they hire not only hijacks private numbers but also violates several FTC laws.


[WHAT THEY DO?]

They have been calling on one of these numbers during weekdays and Sundays with average of 10 to 20 calls per day. They keep switching the last four digits repeating the same calls. The number uses the caller ID of innocent third person as a victim and pretend they are not scams. The same old method when you pick up there is no one there and hungs up. When you call back the number says it is of a terminated or disconnected line. National Do Not Call Registry means nothing to them.
