This is a scam targeting PG&E and other utilities' customers and attempting to market substandard, if not actually dangerous solar installations.

Got 2 calls from this number and I have asked to be taken off the list before.  Now I am getting mad.  When you cakk the number back, you get a message thhay the phone number has been disconnected.  

How are these people getting around the do not call list? I'm bombarded with calls from the South Bay.

The DNC list does not automatically block calls.  Instead, it provides a list of  "do not call" phone numbers to legitimate telemarketers who pay a fee for the list.

The DNC list exempts political callers, survey organizations,  charities and companies with preexisting business relationships, but these organizations might have their own, internal Do Not Call list (ask them).

The DNC list  is not effective against criminals, spammers and scammers, because those people do not subscribe to the DNC list, and do not care if you are on or off that list.
Its purpose is to stop calls from legitimate telemarketers, and it does a pretty good job at that.  Just think ... if there were no DNC, you would be receiving incessant telemarketing calls from BOTH legitimate and scam callers!

If you receive calls even after reporting them (and waiting a sufficient time), then you should consider using a call blocker app, device or service as your first line of defense.  Google "call blocker" to see such things at Amazon or other sites.

This number keeps calling me saying they are an energy company.  I have asked at least 10 times for them to stop calling me.  I am being harassed by them.

They called this am. I let it go to my answering machine, and they didn't leave a message. I blocked them.

This number keeps calling but hanging up when I answer. I called back and it says it's been disconnected.

called about installing solar. I just meet with a solar city rep about panels and this call when told i was not using solar city got very nasty and vulgar.

Just got a call, did not pickup

I keep getting unsolicited SPAM calls from this phone #. When I answer they always hang up. And if they leave a message it's always blank.  408-264-3173.

Received 2 calls yesterday and 2 today but when I say "hello" it's just a hang up with no voice on their end.

Calls over and over.  Now I blocked it.  These people can kiss my Axx!

Again targeting Santa Clara County area with fake caller IDs.

Same as the above - repeated calls, nobody on the other end, number is "disconnected" when I call back.  Blocked them.

getting this same thing 2-3 times a day, how do i block this number as its irritating me. call and hang up.

i received this calls every day for the last 4 days, 2 - 3 times a day. when i answer then there is no sound. when i called back then the message says it is a disconnect number.
