I received a call from this number and let it go my voice mail. They left me a message saying that if I’m waiting for a call press number 4. Hopefully, I checked this number on line before I called them back

I logged into my eBay account on a friend's computer and was using the sell my item form to get some info and got a message saying the account was being accessed on a strange computer and eBay would call the phone number attached to my account to confirm that it was me.  I clicked okay and my cell phone rang, a recorded message asked me to press "0" to get a confirmation pin number.  I did, it gave the pin number three times which I entered on the selling page and I was allowed to continue using my account.

They left a muffled voicemail that sounded like a drowning robot wrapped in 15 sweaters inside a trashcan 10 feet under water. Couldn't make out a single word! Then it ended. Whatevs!

this morning i got a missd call from same number around 8 am.I wnt into my voicemail :"computer says F3"and disconnect.. I checkd online and read all these reviews. As everyone else i dont hav ebay a/c and i never login ebay site.. so am not calling back this scam no...

Received call at 3am EST, message said if you are expecting this call, press 8. Had also received 2 calls several hours earlier from similar number with similar message.

Got this call at 1:30 AM. I didnt' answer, it left voicemail, but all that came from it was "Press 7" How is the best way to STOP this call?? I have never sold anything on EBay and also haven't been on my acct on well over 2 yrs!!! So do they stop calling after awhile? Even if it is from the Scammers?

I got a call from this number when I forgot my password for Ebay - an automated message arrived telling me a four digit pin to enter in order to verify my identity and set a new password...It's a real ebay number...but if you weren't having a transaction with Ebay it could mean that someone was using your number?

I received the same call at 7:30 AM, and I don't even have an eBay account.  Never used it in my life.  Its totally a scam!

Received three calls around 8 this morning and three more about an hour and a half later from this number. The first three calls were the same, "if you were expecting..." calls, the next three came in on callwave and no message was left.

If someone's spoofed ebay's phone number, which it looks like they have for at least some of the calls, I don't know what they hope to gain from this... unless they just want to make people angry.

Recv in the UK.  Certainly wasn't an expected call - but no probs, as I think it's a phone spoofing check

I got this call, and I don't even have an E-Bay account. I didn't answer, and all I could hear in the voice mail was a female voice (i think computer/robotic) saying "press 5" as if the first part got cut off.

Automated call at 12:40 and 12:42 am.  No, I was not expecting the call.  I had not touched the account in some time and when I finally got a live person to chat with online to see if my account had been compromised, no, it was just fine.  I was told to just ignore the calls. Why is ebay allowed to continue this?

Two calls from this number on Christmas day at 19.00 and then again 23.00 twice. So swich off phone and had 4 missted calls. This is a pain and I changed my number.

I just received a credit card bill in the amount of $1,594.00!

The charge was listed as  " #PAYPAL EBAY INC    408-376-7400 CA ".

I checked both my Ebay and PayPal accounts, and no such charges show up there.

Of course I called the credit card company and disputed the charge as well.

Be both aware, and afraid of this number!

I've been getting a lot of calls that hang up on my answering machine lately, but have never received an actual message regarding this number.

I received a call from 408-376-7400,  I am not a member of Ebay and found this call to be disturbing with regard to my private infomation.  I suspect fraud attempt.

I am here in Germany and received a call from  +4083767400 . The plus sign before the number shows it is a call from outside country. This Country is Romania in Europe! It`s Known as a Country with a lot of Cyber Crime.
The automaticall call thay`s "this is a call from Ebay" "Press 2 to get the .... Code". Have attention about the plus sign!!

It is ebay automated voice number used to send 4 pin for account verification.

Received a call from this number. A recorded message gave me a 4 digit number, claiming it was my pin number, and then the line went dead. It has been verified this number does belong to Ebay.

Got the same in australia its a females voice with 4 digit code cause i changed IP address since i logged into ebay it thought id been hacked and wanted to verify its me

Yeah, it's from EBay, to validate your account.
