There was a message left on my answering machine. The call originated from Campbell CA. The message state that the call was from Apple Support and they called to let me know that there was a virus. The automated voice said that I should call them back. Doesn't Apple know most of the people who use their software, phones and tablets? I have never used, nor do I own, any Apple products or devices. I am not sure if the call was legitimate or not.

We have received 3 calls, all an hour apart, from Campbell CA.  408-409-7299.  No actual person replying to our inquiry of whom is calling, no automated message, just silence.

Yeah they called me like before 7 in the morning, They are not allow to call so early totally fraud.Said they were from Apple and i had a virus on my phone, was a recorded message,

Got three calls from this number, (on my home phone, not cell) starting at 6am. No one on the line, and when I called back it said the number gas been disconnected.  Spam from a dead line?

This number was left on my answering machine via an automated/robot caller @ 7 AM PST this morning stating that there was an issue with my Apple iCloud account.  Because it was so early in the morning and because it sounded suspicious to me, I immediately suspected it originated in India because 7 AM PST is around 7:30 PM IST (Indian Standard Time).  I know this because I have to work with offshore resources as part of my job as an American IT employee.

I called the number.  It took forever for someone to answer the phone.  When it was answered, an young man with an Indian accent answered the phone.  I asked if they were located in India, he said no.  I asked what can you do for me, he said enthusiastically 'Anything! you want!'.  I said that this was a scam and that I was going to report them.  He then said 'F*ck You!' and I hung up the phone.

This Apple scam is cut from the same cloth as the IRS Indian scam, and the Windows Indian scam.

I am infuriated and want to know where I report this.  Is it the FCC?

Received 2 calls from this number. They don't leave a message on answering machine. Last call was at 3:11am!

Message on my phone at 7:30 a.m. today, saying to call 8003147630 before using any of my Apple devices.  Called number back, answered by Indian sounding male, who reported that my Apple account was being used by someone out of country.  I asked, he said Lebanon.  He said if I wasn't out of country, someone was using my account for past few days with lots of charges.  He wanted to get into my computer and/or told me to go to an Apple Store.  I said no to getting into my computer.  Am going to call Apple, if they ever answer the phone!
