This number was on my phone caller id when I returned from supper tonight, but no message was left!

Caller said she wanted to know if we were moving.
Told her no. Asked where she got information from and she was evasive.
She would not answer my questions.

These people are trying to collect for towing and storage charges on a vehicle we sold seven years ago.  After that was explained, the caller put us on hold to consult her supervisor, then they hung up on us. The number did not register on our phone log, but the next morning at 7:04 a hang-up number with this name and number did.  Then another phone call at 6:15 the next day.  we are recording every incident to take them to court if necessary.

Similiar calls. Trying to collect towing charges for vechile sold over 13 years ago in Washington state. Said tow charges occurred in 2004. Second call caller had strong dilect and only asked if I was "name". WHen questioned and asked to identify herself, she hung up.

Just got a call from this number and they wanted to collect for damages that they said my cat did to their office building. They want to collect for 22 broken windows, 3 doors and a service elevator. They said my cat went on a rampage and nearly destroyed their building. I just ran into the laundry room where my cat always is and she isn't there. Am I responsible for this damage as they claim? We live in FL. and they said that they were in CO. Is it possible that my cat got out of the house this morning and somehow went to CO. and went on a rampage? I'm worried sick. Damn cat.

Hi Folks,  Well it seems as though this company is trying to collect on bad debts and are unwilling to follow through with cleaning up information given to them by the people they are harrassing.  They continue to call my friend to collect on a motorcycle that killed her boyfriend.  She has sent the death certificate to them several times and they still call her, asking for him.  We are pursuing filing a case against them.  If you are interested in joining us with information regarding them please reply.  Thanks

After repeated phone calls demanding payment for a vehicle we haven't owned since October, 2001 we sent them all the pertinent info from CA DMV and told them to stop calling us via return receipt requested letter.  They acknolwedge receipt of the letter and still called us in violation of the law telling us they are going to send our debt info to the credit info companies.  we just filed a complaint with the FTC, and I suggest you do the same.  Next we are going to file a complaint with the California and Oregon Attorneys general offices.

I've been getting calls from these people for the last couple of weeks - I screen my calls cuz I can't stand telemarketing. They never leave a message - just ring at random times. Glad you all posted the information above - I'm going to give them a piece of my mind next time they call.

These people called my parents yesterday and asked for my mother by full legal name.  Then they asked if she resided at a certain address, which while in a neighborhood close to her, is not her address.  She told them she never had lived at that address and they hung up on her.  After reading what everyone else has said about this company I am going to tell her to tell them to stop calling and that she will report the harassment if it continues.  This sounds like a disreputable company.

I received a call just this morning from this number and they were trying to talk me into a diaper service for adults. My husband does wear Depends and it sounds like they would come out and change his Depends 3 times a day for a very low price. Is this a real service or are they just trying to get into my house. I don't know how they knew that we could use a service like this. I have tried to get in touch with them but I don't get an answer when I dial their number. Can anyone help?

They must call me 2 to 3 x's day to collect on something I had no control over.   My car was towed and I had no money to get it out and I had it packed with my belongings becuase that same day I was getting evicted well to make a long story short they have the audicity to ask me to pay them like $1300 for storage fees and disposal of the car....well sorry Axx_xxxx you had the car and you probably gutted it and sold everything inside the car so no...you can go pound sand.  When a person loses everything they own and now the car towed due to tickets missed being paid and all...well...you know what..eat sxxx and die!!!  No one has compassion anymore for those of us in really hard times today...it sucks and maybe sometimes being dead is not a bad thing....won't have to deal with the idiots....

They called me asking me to pay for a collection on a car that was stolen over 10 years ago. The car didnt even belong to me, it belongged to my exboyfriend. Alarmed, i went to my credit report, it is now being reported and lo and behold also on my mother. I have contacted the original towing company, and they stated that it shouldnt be in collections. Yet, neither the towing company or the collection agency are willing to give me anything in writing. im interested in filing suit. honestly i was about to purchase a new business and home and now my chances have been ruined completely.

These folks called me regularly about once every two weeks, I finally sent them a letter asking them to stop, and the calls stopped almost immediately. Then I got a call about a month later from Stacey in "compliance," stating they were unable to comply with my request because they did not have my account number. She could not find me in their records by name, address or phone number.

Just to get this straight, Rickenbacker has my name and home phone number, but are unable to comply with my request that they stop calling because they don't seem to know why they are calling me in the first place.

Am I missing something here?

I just got a call from this number (408-762-7280) who is trying to collect payment on a towing fee for a car we signed off over 4 years ago.  I got so upset because this is the 2nd incident we've had on a car that we don't even own or have in our possession.  I blew up on the girl and told her what happened.  She said we owed this money prior to the car getting towed.  I got so upset i yelled at her and said i still have all my paperwork (which i do) and will go back down to that stupid tow company and file another complaint.

She said she won't argue with me anymnore and hung up.  This is such b/s...why wait over 4 years to try to collect???

I'm no longer picking up calls from a number i don't know...it's not worth it.

I have not been able to find an address on them, the old address in Gilroy California is not longer them.I did track them to San Jose and thats it.When I try to call & ask their mailing info, they hang up on me.I am here in Illinois and they put over $5,000 on my credit.I asked them to validate this and they never answered or returned my calls.Can anyone help with this or where they are located? Id be happy to file a class action.Thanks

I bearly got a call from thiz number..but i read all of your comments and i ask myself why the heck are they calling me if im bearly 19 yrs old and i dont own anything...

I received a call from this number this morning and they said that they were billing my credit card for $11,500.00 for the Obama Victory party held in Chicago. I told them that "they were crazy if they thought I was going to pay anything for their party" and they said that I had no say in the matter. I checked my credit card balance on the computer and the $11,500.00 charge was there. How did they get all my credit info? Now my credit card company won't take the charge off and I don't know what to do.
This doesn't sound right.

I'm having a similar problem with rickenbacker. Have done a lot of resurch,but still have not found an attorney.I have filed complaints with the FTC,Morgan Hill city attorney's office, the BBB, and the district attorney.
