solar scam

Caller claimed she was from California Energy. She is peddling a scam

called me even though I'm on the national do not call registry

I ignored the call.  They left no message

Call ID from San Jose.  I didn't answer.  No message

A female claiming to represent a solar company tried to obtain my personal and financial information. When I began to ask her specific questions about  the company she represents she ended the call. TOTAL CRIMINAL TELEMARKETER AT WORK. I called back only to find that the number displayed was a non working number. No big surprise.

Another California Energy call, different number.

Ignored call. Left 3-sec null voicemail of background noise like call center.

Called two times and i rejected twice. Left no message and I'm glad I didn't bother answering.

Caller ID from San Jose.  Did not answer

Caller ID "Unknown name".  Did not go through the prompts to bypass my call screening device.

Even though you're on the "do not call" registry, it doesn't apply to instate calls. I was surprised when I heard the nat'l director of the registry  say that. The commentator said "then the registry doesn't really work".  The director got very defensive, and said that it works very well, just not in the state where you live. Since most of my telemarketer calls are from CA where I live, it doesn't help at all.

Say what?  That makes no sense at all.  Please cite where in the DNC rules it says that it does not apply to in-state calls.

Also, calls are frequently spoofed and aren't even coming from the same country let alone state, so what you are saying makes no sense.

I was just relating what I saw on " 20-20" or " 60 minutes".  If I tho't it would help I'd research it further.  I do get calls from out of state and have filled out the complaint forms, and those calls seemed to have stopped.

This number is scam. Missed call and no message left. Called back and got message that "number does not exist".
