- Caller: scammer
- Call type: Prank
- DaFox replies to michelleSo you are claiming:
You were successfully sued for not paying back a loan you never got, right?
This means one of two things:
You were not only robbed by a scammer, you let them legally do it, and never challenged the judgement.
OR
You are the scammer.
I say the second it correct. - Flo| 1 replyOn Monday, October 27, 2014, at 2:03pm, we received a call from Jenny Scott from the Oakwood Law Group (I think this is correct as I couldn't really understand the name of the law firm). Her message: "got a complaint about your name and socials - arrest warrant has been issued on your name. If you do not call back by the end of the day, warrant will be issued and processed without further notice. The call back number is 408-915-5242."
The call originated from 913-555-0173 in Kansas City KS. The call back number is from Campbell CA.
I did not speak to her as we do not answer phone calls with unfamiliar numbers - just listened to her message.- Caller: Oakwood Law Group
- Jaz replies to michelle| 7 repliesHaha!! Hey Michelle... What's ur address?? We would like to inform the FTC about ur whereabouts! Thanks!
- Tamianth replies to FloIts not unusual for Extortion Scammers to use real legal company's names and even real attorney's names. In this case, they are using and abusing real company's which happen to be either personal injury attorneys, patent attorney's in different states. There is one collection out of Texas, it goes by Oakwood Collections Lawyers though. Not Oakwood law Group. I also found another reference here under Oakwood Law Firm along with other names given when pressed :

http://www.cashnetusa.com/consumer-notices - michelle replies to Jaz| 6 repliesWow...you guys are incredible...im not a scammer...i was scammed...i was refused any information regarding the court information...and i would be happy to give all my contact information to anyone that wants to find out how dumb they look for attacking a person reaching out for help.
- Yes... replies to michelle| 5 replies....we are incredible - incredibly good at catching shills!
If you were indeed scammed, then you would have the court information - because your bank would have to have this documentation BEFORE they could deduct anything from your account! And that documentation would give the company name and address. - michelle replies to Yes...| 4 repliesOk...you just proved you cant read...i said it was deducted from my check...from work...i have never had a bank account or a credit card...i dont own a house or car...i rent an apartment and have been here for 4 years. I have no idea how someone received my information (unless it was my ex husband). I contacted legal aid but they said they could not help me. I have 4 kids and work full time so please get over yourself calling me a scammer...all i need is some guidance as how to handle this. I do not for the life of me understand how we can have help sites but when one asks for help they get accused of being something they're not...its really heart breaking.
- ashley replies to deleted post| 1 replyI believe you michelle...the same thing happened to my boyfriends mom last year...there is something you can do...but its a long process...first you have to go to the irs and let them know that your identity may have been stolen...they eill open an investigation...you have to provide them with any information the people gave you for the "lawsuit". She has a judgement of over 2000 dollars against her...when their investigation is complete they will give you back the money stolen from you...good luck!!
- Doesn't matter... replies to michelle....you would see the paperwork at your work prior to it being deducted. You're still a shill for these scammers.
- The same thing... replies to ashley...didn't happen. "Michelle" already said they wouldn't give her any information, which shows it's a scam.
- debbie replies to Shellyjust got the same call and tried calling back and no ansewer
- You just proved replies to michelleyou can't shill worth a darn!
- GMCI received a call with a voice mail from 408-915-5242 stating that an arrest warrant will be issues. There is no company or organization listed. I did call back and first is was busy and then there was no answer.
I have had a persistent hacker who I reported to the FBI and maybe he has something to do with it??
Hey it's voting day and if others are getting these calls they might not leave the house. I will vote today like I always have!!- Call type: Prank
- Socialw59I just received a recorded message today from a Jenny Scott at some law firm that I couldn't understand the name given. She said there would be an arrest warrant for me if I didn't call back today......weird....what's this about?
- Caller: 408-915-5242
- Marzetta Craven| 1 replyI have got a few calls from this number. They left a message saying if I do not call them back by end of day a warrant would be issued for my arrest. The first call was an automated call and just 2 minutes ago a woman who I could not understand at all left me another message. These people need to be stopped. They say they have my ssn which is very scary.
- joyce replies to Marzetta CravenI just received the same exact call and I do not have no loans so Im guessing its a prank
