I received this called yesterday, too.  Same as above comments.  Scam.

I got a call from this number today, saying pretty much the same things as above, was asked to call officer Chris Walker at the same number ( 4089409686) and get the details about the case against me,or face legal action including arrest !!!

I just got home from work and received a message from "David Johnson" from the Dept of Legal Affairs.  He left the same number in this thread - 408.940.9686.  I was skeptical to begin with, but thanks to this blog, I am glad to confirm this scam.

I just got the same message; same MO. Chris Walker is the agent's name; June Taylor is the callers name. Don't fall for it! But if you happen to talk to them by mistake, have fun and make them work! Its funny how they scramble for dumb wordings, etc. Then when you get tired having fun, turn the table around and press them. Listen to them hang-up ASAP ;)

This a**hole called me earlier today, saying I was going to be arrested in 2 hours and there's a warrant for my arrest. Something with my taxes in 2010 and I'm going to jail yadda yadda Googled the number and found this was a scam. He also said I was under the "IRS radar", anyways I doubt the IrS would call while driving with their windows down in the car.... Hung up on him and never heard a thing.

Caller left a long message with thick accent, very hard to understand. I believe his name was Jordan Miller from the "Office of Legal Assist". Something about legal action against me and I better respond. I think this is the second message I've received.

I got a call today and same thing, but caller was "Alex White", and threatened legal action.  When I called number back I told her I would not give her any information and that it sounded like a scam, to which she replied "well if you think it's a scam you'd better get yourself a good attorney" and then she hung up on me!  I called back again and she would not talk to me.  Googled the phone number and found this site.  Sheesh.

Got a call from June Taylor today. Called the number back and she said she needed my attorney info so she could give them the case number or I would be arrested shortly. I told her I was an attorney and if there are charges against me she could give me the case number or an officer to speak with. She became agitated and told me, again, she needed my attorney info. I told her she could give me the case # or the local authorities info that were issuing the warrant. She refused and I told her this is a scam call and she hung up.

I received a voice mail from an Alex White stating that he is from the Dept. Of Legal Affairs and this was a verbal notification for an enforcement action that have been started in my name....He left a call back number 480-940-9686.  I researched immediately & sure enough, a SCAM

I would bet that Alex is NOT white!

Do consider maybe getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $50.00 or so.

I suppose there is, but these people are hard core scammer/extortionists located in India and they are beyond the reach of US law. Call blocker is your best bet.

my mom and dad received the same call same person june taylor saying i was going to be arrested the best part is they used my maiden name. really they need to get a better scam. my dad did back tracking and called the guy up and argued with him and he cussed my dad out and hung up on him because my dad called him out. my parents were smart and knew right away just beware any one will do anything for money these days. we found they were going on web searches and pulling peoples names. we thankfully reported them and hopefully one day something will be done.

I got this one too.  Nice that it's so obviously fake, but a little creepy nonetheless.

There is a new one out, instead of David Johnson or June Taylor, its now "Chris Walker himself" calling from US Treasury of the Department of Legal Affairs. Definitely a scam, don't answer. And this person threatens if you don't call back.

"David Johnson", with a very thick accent,  left a message on my machine. Says he's with Legal Services U.S. Treasury.  His accent was so thick, I couldn't understand half of what he said.  He concluded the message saying if I couldn't call, I should have my attorney call.  Come on...someone name David Johnson with an accent so thick?.  No, I don't think so.

718 8879390 that's the new nr.. He call try  question for my hubby, the important thing is don't freek out ..and don't give no information!! It's funny with all the hi technology we supposed be more save... That's sad our lives is exposed in the Internet..
