We came home to the U S from abroad and were bothered by 12 calls or more per day. I called our phone co. and they ( Centurylink) told me to enable my no solicitation and call blocking. I had to have my pin reset due to not knowing what it was then enabled both. Now when you call me it will play a message that this no. does not want solicitation and remove me from their list, by waiting till the end of the message or dialing 1 anytime your call can go through, if a call does make it through that was unwanted I simply call a no. and add the no. that called or if it was the last caller just add last call to the block list. This has reduced unwanted calls to only 4 in the last 6 weeks. Hope this helps

Yeah, I blocked 410-231-7074 too (and a couple of other phone numbers with this same solicitation) but then later they call you back at a different phone number!  Since I couldn't get a real person when they call, I called back to try to get to a person to speak to but all I got was an automated system so I went ahead and pressed 1 to be added to the do not call list.  It actually worked to stop all of these calls!!

If it is a weekday, consumer advocate must be calling.  This is ridiculous.  I cannot even block them.  The calls still continue.

Also get three or more calls from this 4102317074. When I picked it up it then says "Hi this is (name) from Cardholder Services, There is currently no problem with your CC"  Press one to speak to a rep. press two to opt out. And of course the press 2 option never works.

This number has called me several times about "lowering my credit card interest rates."  I usually hang up. Today, I pressed 1 to be connected to an operator.  I was connected to a gentleman (I use this word to be kind). I asked to be removed from their call list.  He responded with no we can't do that I bet you always get what you want.  WHAT?  Did that just happen?  Yep. Me -I want to talk with your manager. Him- I am a manager. Me- Please remove me from your call list. Him- How about you add your number to the National Do Not Call List. Me- My number is on the list. Do not call again.  There was more, but this really was completely unprofessional.

Are you or your law firm really so dumb that you think a web site where otherwise powerless people come to share information about annoying callers?  And are you so naive that you don't realize that we couldn't tell who you are or what number not to call even if we were calling you, which we're not?

The politicians were right about saying we're exceptional.  Exceptionally stupid.

Received a voicemail from this number that was a recording.  Said something about it being the final notice and press one to lower my interest rate or hand up and continue with the service.

I receive at least three calls per day from these idiots: "this is your final notice: if you want to reduce interest rates...blah, blah blah..."
    "final" notice ?
    I wished.
The DNC-list is not working. These people change the phone numbers when you block them. It's sheer harassment, and our government needs to do something about this.

    Time Waster
I get calls from 410-231-7074 once every day. The call starts with a robot who says the call concerns lowering interest rates on my credit cards. I punch "1" to be connected to a live human, who asks me how much I owe on all my credit cards and what interest I am paying. When I give him totally false numbers, he says he can help me get my interest rates lowered. He asks for the customer service number on the back of one of my credit cards, and I happily provide it to him. Then he asks for the credit card number, and I give him a false one. When he asks for the last four digits of my social security number, I give him four numbers that are no where near the last four of my SSN. Then he wants my zip code. Again, I just give him a false one. Then he puts me on hold and tries to call my credit cards company. After a few minutes, he returns and asks me if I am sure I gave him the correct credit card number, I say I think so. He ssk me to repeat it, and I do. THEN he puts me on hold again and calls my credit card company. All this has taken about 15 minutes. When he returns, he again asks me if I am sure I have given him the correct credit card number [I can just picture him calling, punching in the false number I gave him, and hearing, "I'm sorry, we have no account with that number".] I then suggest that he put a note next to my phone number saying that anytime anyone from his company calls my number, I will waste as much time with them as I possibly can. I also tell him that I hope he is salaried, and not paid based on the number of credit card accounts he is able to hack into. This causes him to launch into a profanity-laced diatribe. He accuses me of being a loser. I remind him that I don't have to work for a sleazy company that tries to steal access to people's credit card accounts. He terminates the call. I have successfully waster 20 minutes of his time.
