Funny, I answered the call largely because I believed I was up to date on payments. During the call, we found out that I am up to date on my payments at which point they used the opportunity to try and up-sell me.  Whatever you are, I hope you're better at it than you are at online humor.

They call my number often, leaving no message..Reading the comments above, I have learned it's Toyota Financial..I own a Lincoln, never even thought about a Toyota, had my phone number changed 6 months ago, so they must be looking for someone who had this phone number prior.. Very irritating to an innocent old lady, search for the right person, and leave me alone! TY

Toyota Financial is by far one of the most annoying and troublesome company in regards to customer service. I had a payment payment of 9hundred something, went to BofA deposited $1600 past balance of 900 and change . I spoke to the operator and authorized the $900, the operator reminded me of the coming month due in 5 days ask if I wanted to include next month pay with 900 payment with that said I asked if I cover next months payment with balance of the $900 that's owed will it count for the coming month since I had funds for payment " he said it will go to principle. I only authorized the 900 not the upcoming month payment since its automated pay.. the operator went ahead and processed my verbal (non authorization$474 )of upcoming month payment along with the balance of ($900 authorized by me) then on the first, autopay deducted again. Got a late payment towards credit report, late charge and overdrafts fee from my bank. IS THIS "CUSTOMER SERVICE " as they say or is it "CUSTOMER  deceptive tactics to obtain and retrieve all any kind of payment regardless of clients credit rating... ( Toyota financial disregards clients in by doing unethical practices for collection.) folks do yourself a favor, if it's with costumer service rep ask for name operator id and call them back immediately *note ASK operator prior to conversation that you too will be recording conversation with permission for "back up evidence purpose" see if they comply or hang up...I payed half of my 2016 Tacoma off road upfront before driving of lot.. regardless of small or large down payment go through your bank for a loan Toyota financial Is another unfair deceptive non updated system harassment co just wanting to collect at any means by all means.. report them to BBB ... well you all have different Issues regarding balance pay etc.. they have only 1 concern and it's not customer service it's customer deception to collect even If it means ruining clients credit!!! Go through your bank for a loan at least you can resolve issues with companies that care not this kind of bullS**t!!

I am a co-signer for my husband's car and before they even contact him through cell or email, they choose to contact me at work saying we are behind on our payments. They have called me at work twice and both times I have told them to either call my cell on file if they really need me or a better idea, to contact my husband instead since he is the primary. But the worst part of it all is that he is on auto pay and the bank has always cleared his payment to Toyota automatically so the error is on their part not the bank or my husband. They are rude and treat you like YOU'RE wrong when in reality, they just need their systems updated. It is not the bank's fault and definitely not the customer's fault. They are absolutely terrible!

If you pay too early, they treat it as a payment applied to principal and NOT your monthly agreed payment. So, they will consider the next payment due in danger of being late.

I'm on auto pay so no reason for them to call. And why not leave a message?

I got numerous calls from this phone number.  When I tried to call back yesterday the line wouldn't receive calls.  Today it did receive my call.

I called and got Toyota and Lexus Financial Services.  I don't have any Toyota or Lexus vehicle.  The caller was named Juvenal.  He sounded like he had a Philippine accent.  He said he was located in South Florida, but the area code was for Maryland.

I chose the 2nd option on the phone tree to report fraud.  I got a suspicious feeling while talking to him.  He kept me on the line for a long time (over 15 minutes), trying to ask for my social security number and other personal information, like my address.  He kept saying that he thought my number was incorrectly associated with another account holder (whose name he would not give me).

I called a second time and got a woman named Shelby.  I used the 3rd option on the calling tree which wasn't related to fraud reporting.  She sounded American and said she was located in southern Arizona.  She also wanted my SSN or account number and said she couldn't help me without that info.  I told her to look up my account by my phone number and I told her my name.  She told me a similar story as the first caller.

I told Shelby that I am concerned that this is a scam operation.  She asked if I wanted to speak with a supervisor and I said yes.  After waiting 3 - 5 minutes, she told me her supervisor was unavailable and to call 800-874-8822 (which is a legit number on the toyotalfinancial website).

Shelby said the reason why I have a MD phone number calling me is because it is routed from AZ to there.

I tried quizzing Shelby about southern Arizona and asked if she is enjoying the freezing weather and snow at night (which is not true in Arizona in April).  Her answers made me think she wasn't lying.

In the end, I am not sure if all of this is legit or not!
