This is the usual criminal scam that says that you are about to be arrested because of a tax crime. The IRS will first contact you by paper mail.  It will have the telephone number of their local office to call. They will tell you to bring by documentary evidence of your income and deductions. They will examine these and do further investigations. They will then call you in to pay the additional taxes by check if they are due.  They will not start off by having the police arrest you.

Call to cell. Message left said IRS. Gave another number to call. No threat so far. But fake since IRS doesn't call but sends mail. Deleted message & blocked call number.

Called Left vmail about not disregarding the message or call back number. Blocked.

Today, 05/16/217 I got a call from this number +1 (410) 702-2022. He was saying the call was from IRS and need to call the number he said. I just listened to it and google the number and now reporting it. It's obviously a scam! BEWARE!

There are several more scam clues.  The caller ID does not list an organization name.  The caller does not say who they are, their organization, or your name. This is a robot call that starts when the answering machine gives the outgoing message and so the first part of theirs is not there.

Same here left only part of the number, since part of the message was cut off

they called and left a voicemail saying from IRS with another number to call. called back same number that called and got straight to a person. you never get straight to a person that is how I knew it was a scam, plus the fact IRS don't call you!
