I had the same scam sent to me.
My wife thought I was paranoid but an out of state request for a $600 Bed, Right.
I had the same thought as you had with your rowboat.

We received the same exact message but they used the name Isabella Moor.
    The e-mail is below.

    stupid
I was helping my mother in law sell furniture and got the same thing - unfortunately for us it went so far as to get the check, but it was lost, luckily, before a check was sent back for $$ they sent for shippping that we didn't want to handle, we got a letter stating that the check sent to us was counterfeit.  the name used was Sandra Tomas and there are other names and addresses sent for shipping details.  This is terrible.  Where can we report all the information we got from them to have them tracked??

Is it this:  Att: Tom Corbett- Pennsylvania Attorney General
    Bureau of Consumer Protection
    21 South 12th Street, 2nd Floor
    Philadelphia, PA 19107
    Phone: 215-560-2414
    Fax: 215-560-2494

I should have checked this out sooner.  Thank you all for all your remarks.

I got a message today and wondered because my ad says it must be picked up so an out-of-state phone number tipped me off.

I'm always skeptical about using Craig's list and this is exactly why.

Got the exact same e-mail related to a CL posting in Charlotte, NC.  In our case, it was not so cut and dried.  We have a university here and there are many people with out of town number while attending school.

In any case, this one from "Sophia Brown" at 410-779-9861 IS A SCAM!  If you give them the info, you will be on every telemarketers list in the country!

    SCAM
This is the response I got for a Washer/Dryer Im selling. Thank goodness for Google

Thanks for the prompt response, I am quite comfortable with the condition of the item I wouldn't mind adding an extra $50 to your asking price to keep this for me. I am paying by Cashiers Check and I will mail it out as soon as you get back to me. As per pick-up, You don't need to worry about that as I have a moving company I will make arrangement with for the pick-up after payment has been received and clear in your bank. I really need this, quite important. I will be more than glad if it can be sold to me. Email me back with a name, address and your phone number for the check, as soon as the check clears, we can proceed with the pick up and shipment, I would like you to take the posting off Craigslist. Thanks.

    Lisa.

I received a text message from 410-779-9861 about a "job" ~ he stated that my resume was shortlisted and an interview has been set up with the hiring manager Jason Clarks. Additionally, mentioned that I should reach out to him in order to set up an interview - the email address he provided was via "Hangout" at  ( hiringmanager147@gmail.com). The rest of his message said: "...Add him to your hangout  list and send him an invitation, He will be online waiting for you..."

I knew that it was spam immediately. Hope this helps!!
