- Le replies to LeGot a call from this number too. So annoying when someone u don't know calls!
- Biff| 7 repliesOthers have reported this as a survey they get the day after calling Care First Blue Cross Blue Shield.
- Caller: Blue Cross Blue Shield
- Call type: Survey
- GKR replies to BiffYes, it is from BCBS
- Dennis| 1 replyCaller ID says CAREFIRST. When I called the number back I got a recording saying identifying themselves as THE SQM GROUP, a company that does research and surveys. The recording offered me the option of being removed from their Calling List by pressing 2 on the phone's keypad, which I did. You can also opt out of receiving calls from them on their web site at http://www.sqmgroup.com/
- Caller: SQM Group - Caller ID: CareFirst

- DAVIDThese people are [***].
- mighty brunoI had called BCBS a day earlier to resolve an issue, and during the usual long wait I was sporadically reminded that the call might be recorded for quality assurance purposes. I wish ALL calls would be like that, thus making these return phone calls from third parties unnecessary. While companies like the SQM Group aren't telemarketers, the premise is still the same: getting unwanted phone calls at inconvenient times. And even if it wasn't inconvenient, I'm not too interested in doing surveys over the phone. (I usually prefer to do mine on the web or email.)

- Richard replies to DennisWhen I spoke to a Carefirst rep yesterday, she inexplicably asked me for my "callback number" before we even discussed my question, which she proceeded to answer.
Sure enough, today I get a call from 410-877-6059, but no voicemail or caller ID.
Thanks to 800notes.com and the posts there, I now know who the mystery caller was. - Rockville MD ResidentAfter missing a call from this number, I called it and got a recording identifying the call as coming from the SQM Group, a research and survey company that works for major call centers. I am a CareFirst member, and I did have recent contact with them. So the other poster's comment agreed with my experience. It's probably a customer satisfaction survey about CareFirst.
- Caller: SQM Group

- DanielDef the Carefirst Survey. I told them that they rocked and I wanted to take a survey. She said it would be at the end of my call but I got this weird call 5 hours after. It didn't even say anything and just hung up.
- Call type: Survey
- DeeYes, this is a CareFirst survey about their customer service. I spoke with a rep yesterday and now this call was a follow-up.
- Caller: CareFirst BCBS
- Call type: Survey
- Melissa replies to BiffThank you. That makes sense.
- mark dana rockmanPressed *69 to call them back. SQM Group commenced a lengthy announcement to the effect that they are hired by megacorps to conduct surveys following call center contact. I pressed the buttons that indicated I wanted to continue with the survey. I intended to rate them "Completely Dissatisfied" on all metrics. However their IVR detected that I wanted to be put on their DO NOT CALL LIST. Thanks very much, indeed.

- MichelleThe responsible party is Care First BC/BS. We all need to complain to them. Being we are paying customers and we deserve to get the service we pay for, and not have to do surveys, unless we are asked permission, or paid for it, we should all complain to Care First BC/BS, that way this will stop. Even Comcast, when you call them for something, they will ask you if it's ok to call you back with a survey, and you can say yes or no, if you say no... they will not call. I feel like they are getting paid, they should not take advantage of their customers, thats like spamming us. I get a call from 410-877-6059, Caller ID said Jappa. My phone rang 2 times, we picked it up and said hello repeatedly, they said nothing then hung up. We call back and get some recording saying its SQM Group. Wow, YES.. I spoke with a rep yesterday from Care First BC/BS. How rude for them to give our number out and make unwanted, non agreed to, calls. I am so glad I found this complaint page, I would never have figured out what this was about.

- Karen Williams| 2 repliesAnswer phone, no one speaks. Annoying. If this is CareFirst, they should know better than to call people with unwanted surveys.
- AnonymDo not pick up!
Telemarketer!
Scum of the earth!- Caller: Carefirst
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Dr. DCalled my CELL phone, which is not the number that should be on my file. No message - how professional. I'd love to tell them about my last conversation with a rude and rigid Carefirst employee, who contradicted the instructions I'd just been given by a rep. who seemed very competent. (But this is an ongoing problem - you can't trust what anyone says - so get the rep's name, call center, call reference number, and carefully document what you discussed, what the rep advised you, date and time. Later, when CF drops the ball, you can give your "evidence" to your lawyer, state attorney or state insurance commissioner.) My advice is pick up the phone and give Carefirst (and the survey people) your feedback. At least Carefirst is trying to improve and I applaud that.
- Caller: carefirst survey?
- Call type: Survey
- GWMThey called at 8 PM the day after we called Care First. I'm kind of suspicious when I get a call from caller ID "Care First" at 8 at night. Anyway, I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message. Thanks to the comments above I now know it was a survey. Calling at 8 PM and not identifying themselves by leaving a message - not good customer service.

- Rob GersonI am contacting the Attorney General of Maryland. I have told this IVR FOUR TIMES to remove me. Starting a week ago. They woke me up on my cell phone at 11:20 pm. P effing M. - YvonneGot a call from this number. Caller ID said CAREFIRST. Since I'd spoken to a Carefirst representative the day prior, I answered and was hung-up on! I called Carefirst and was told they had not authorized this call although they DO have headquarters In that area code. I did not call the number back.
