- STANISLAUS DREUCKEBDODEVITSKOVITZI got a call on my cell from this number. Some other sites say it is from Pittsburg, Pennsylvania. I've got some Miniature Dachshunds I'm thinking about breeding, & I've been riding around with 2 signs on my car, in an effort to locate people who might want a puppy for Christmas. I thought it might be a response from somebody like this, as these are usually in the Little Rock or Hot Springs, Arkansas area. I also thought it might belong to Humana, as I often get calls from them about my RXs. I have Humana Medical & Drug Insurance as a Medicare Supplement, but they usually call from an 800 number when I have some RX that need filling, when they have shipped some RX after I ordered from them, and such. They have offices everywhere, it seems, including Pennsylvania (I think), Kentucky, Ohio, Arizona (I think), and Arkansas, so it could be Humana. Any problems have always been taken care of promptly when I call them. I try to tell them not to keep my debit card number on file, as they will charge a RX to it when I have no funds in the bank, & it causes "insufficient" charges! I also have asked them to NOT call me when they ship RX, as I don't need the tracking number and a lot of useless information; I just go down to the Post Office & check my box, & it is usually there. Sometimes they will use a "machine" to call me, sometimes not! I just put up with it, as they are a pretty good company, overall. I did send a RX from my doctor by mail, & it said they could fill it with a generic, which was ZERO CO-PAY, but they filled it with a regular RX & charged me $95, so I called them & talked to 2 different supervisors, the last one saying he was in the RX dept., & he sent me a label to return it & they deducted the $95, so I was happy with that!
Keep up the good work, of informing people about these "odd" phone numbers, as I get other calls from other numbers, too. I figure they are just checking to find out "active, alive" cell phone numbers, so they can sell them for telemarketing purposes. Sometimes a person will say “sorry,” and other times nobody says anything, or they leave a garbled message! When it gets as bad as the land-line was (which I had AT&T take out because they KEPT GOING UP ON THE PRICE), then I'll do like the dealers & throw the cell phone in the trash & get another one with a different number!
RightSource, the prescription drug division of Humana, where I have my Drug Insurance under Medicare, previously sold me two different eye drops for glaucoma, Xalatan and Dorzolamide with Timolol, both of which were Zero Co-Pay for me. In the past, I paid as high as $150-195 for each of these. Recently, when I phoned them, they quoted me a price of $3,000.00 with Timolol & $4,000.00 without Timolol, or vice-versa! I told them they ought to be ashamed to themselves, charging those kinds of prices for (like my dear departed mother used to say) a little thimble-ful of eye drops (these young gals don’t even know what a thimble is)! I told them that my grandpa used to say that he didn’t mind being held up, but he thought they were supposed to use a gun! Anyway, I asked them what was available in the ZERO CO-PAY category, and of course, they didn’t know, saying that the doctor would have to decide that. I asked them what poor folks do - go blind, I guess!
This $3,000 to $4,000 is over TWICE what my monthly income is! It sure looks like the drug companies are running WILD! I can figure out what probably happened: all the doctors are SCARED TO DEATH of being sued, as one probably DID GET SUED over this allergy situation causing a death, where a person like me was taking allergy shots and also using a beta-blocker. Somebody, probably a drug company, must have paid some BIG BUCKS on this one (we’ve got to get the lawyers under control, too)! To get their $$$ back, they’re OVER-CHARGING the next suckers a LOT OF MONEY! In the deal, they signed a paper saying they wouldn’t talk about it or release any details, so that’s why nobody knows anything or WANTS TO KNOW ANYTHING! But, we’re the ones that are the victims of it, while the lawyers make TONS OF MONEY out of a big lawsuit!
I took personal and business Bankruptcy about a year ago, so I can’t take it again for 6 more years; and I’m still paying into the Federal Bankruptcy Court System each month. I’ve already made the decision about whether to eat or buy prescription drugs! I have a mortgage, which I’m struggling to pay, on a house that has lost value and is probably not worth what the balance on the mortgage is! I have 6 doggies (two of which are rescues) to feed, as well as myself. I have an old 1999 car, which I’m trying to keep running, and the PRICE OF GASOLINE IS GOING UP EVERY MONTH! Pretty soon, it will be easier and cheaper to just quit eating all together!
In going over this month’s bills, I got an increase on many of them, mostly my homeowner’s insurance, but my income increased $0.00 (where I see that Congress is now considering that it needs a raise). When will us “poor folks” get a raise? Yahoo or Google reports that this is the LEAST PRODUCTIVE CONGRESS IN DECADES! They get FULL RETIREMENT BENEFITS, even though they only serve ONE TERM in Congress (it sure is nice that they voted themselves this benefit, as all us "poor folks" have to work & pay into Sociable Security for AT LEAST 10 years before we can draw anything out)! They’re still drawing an INCREASED SALARY, however, but they can’t seem to get anything going on the budget, debt, or much of anything else - they keep talking about cutting Medicare & Sociable Security, which they’ll be doing when my children and grandchildren are drawing it, too, as this is just politics! But they don’t need to mess with these programs! They need to get the government’s act together, if we’re going to continue to be the leading nation of the free world, and other nations are going to LOOK UP TO US! They don’t need to have the Feds going broke, laying people off, closing offices, defaulting on bonds, and such! I don’t know all the answers, but it seems that they don’t, either!
Looks like we need to have another “tea party,” some more “Wall Street sit-ins,” probably down on Main Street in all our towns, and we need to all go to Washington and ask Congress and our Government leaders to RESIGN! There needs to be a “Sundown Clause” in ALL LEGISLATION, mandated by CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT, where ALL LAWS go out of force in 10 years unless Congress and our State Legislatures renew them, and NOT renew them automatically all in one batch, but individually! We The People need to take back control of our government, not the LOBBYISTS and RICH PEOPLE!
Yes, the Internet is great, but my provider, AT&T, has become a MONOPOLY again, and they are CERTAINLY ACTING LIKE IT! They continued to raise my phone rates, so I had them take out my land line, but leave in the Internet. Now, they are TRYING TO RAISE THE PRICE on it, too! I appealed to the State Attorney General's Office, who helped me some, but AT&T is SO BIG, they're NOT AFRAID of an Attorney General, a lawyer, a lawsuit, the Federal Government, or anyone or anything, I don't think! Maybe it's time to reconsider and break up this MONOPOLY again!
Like I said, keep up the good work of telling folks this phone information without trying to niggle a $1 or $2 out of them like your competitors do! I was told that the Internet was FREE, but it doesn't look like it any more! Google uses the word "FREE" on most of their searches, but when I get to the actual website, it is usually a free trial, free download (then they want some $$$), free look-a-see, or some other nonsense! Google probably abuses the word FREE the most! If any other business did this, the F.T.C. would be on them for misrepresentation!
Caller: Humana, possibly. I got a call from this number. I get other calls from other “odd” numbers, too. I figure they are just checking to find out "active, alive" cell phone numbers, so they can sell them for telemarketing purposes.
It showed up on my "Missed calls" on my cell phone. My cell phone never rang, as I had it in my pocket on “vibrate,” and it didn’t vibrate, either; but some people tell me they can't leave a message, so I usually check my "Missed calls" every once in a while. I did get a message on this one, but it was so garbled, that I couldn’t tell what it was about! I wondered who might be calling from 412 area code, as I have given out my cell phone number to only about 4-5 people and it's not listed in any directories that I know of. I thought telemarketers were not supposed to solicit cell phones. I'll be putting my number on the FTC's Do Not Call List real soon! I ran an ad to sell some dogs, and I got a lot of "unsolicited" calls from companies working the newspaper ads, wanting to sell me different things, mostly advertising! Once you make your number public, you're gonna get all kinds of calls like this, I have found! Remember, if it's too good to be true, it probably is. If this is for mortgage reduction or debt reduction, don't send them any money in front, as that's the last you'll ever see of it! And don't give out any info. like Soc. Security #, bank acct. #, and such, as they can use this for identity theft! I didn't sell any dogs (I had 2 at that time, but one of 'em died a few months ago), so I finally quit running "free ads," as I got tired of all this "stuff" from companies wanting to sell me something! If you want to learn what's going on, check Rip-off Report.com - they've got the latest on all the scams going around, and you don't have to search state by state, county by county, city by city, like you do with the BBB and the Attorney General's Offices. One search takes it nationwide, and often it will show the various other names that companies use, to confuse people!
I got a letter from a "Secret Society" wanting me to join a bunch of wealthy & influential people, and all I had to do was send for a free 56 page report. I did. Then they sent me a letter asking for $139.95 for a "2,000 year old manuscript" of secrets! Sounded like a lot of baloney, to me, so I checked Rip-off Report. Sure enough, it was a scam! One of the most interesting I've run across in a long time! None of their letters was signed by anyone but "John." They had 2-3 different addresses in different parts of the country, they had NO E-Mail address, NO PHONE, and only 1 FAX number! They promised a 90 day guarantee on my money, but they didn't tell me where to get in touch with them! Good thing they weren't giving away $10-million, like another outfit that sent me 3 letters one week, saying that I had won the $10-million prize! But, there was no check in any of the 3 letters! I told them to go ahead and take the cost of all the merchandise and magazines out of the $10-million, and send me the difference! I'm expecting it to arrive any day now! Jeez! How dumb do they think we are?- Caller: Humana, probably
