Foreign number did not answer but thanks to the people posting and 800 notes I will now block it. Caller left no message. Obvious spam.

The number is 1-414-240-6518 but Caller ID displayed was "V1091434070043607356".

I answered.

Listening at first and then attempting to interrupt, I could tell this is clearly the newer, automated outbound interactive voice response (IVR) telemarketing.

When you interrupt the system, its typical response is something like "Hello Are you there?"

Illegal Roboscam call, message was "hello are you there".

Same as Charles.  Can't even spell correctly.  Wasn't home when the call came in and no message was left.

caller ID showed "merchant creidt"   ...  [yes, that's how they spelled it]

Scumbag robo callers call every 5 minutes from different states. Just don't answer. If you do they will call nonstop.

If you keep pointing out their mistakes, they will correct themselves and then we'll have no way to visually tell that they are possibly bogus. Heaven help us if they discover 'Spell Check.'

Calls my workplace, I answer but there's no one on the other end. Based on my search history this has happened twice or more with this phone number.

spam - now blocked

This number has called my home phone three times since January 3, each time with a different CID name. I don't answer and they never leave a message. I phone-blocked it after the second call and will now block it with my service provider.

Called around 945 am on 2/19/2018. No message left. Blocked # after reading previous posts

Answered,  phone professionally, no response from caller. We receive such calls once or twice a month. Shame, they don't have a better business protocol. .??
