SPAM prerecorded Voicemail about a car warranty.

Called my cell # and hung up. I was curious and called back. I got a like fax noise and a recorded message saying this number was no longer in service. hackers or crackers trying to do something? Be Aware everybody!

I think that this car warranty scam has some way of faking the numbers they are calling from.  I get calls from the about once a week on average, from a variety of different numbers from different area codes all over the U.S.  I never answer, but I often look up the numbers here and see other people who have reported on them.  Recently they started leaving me voice mail messages.

My new take on all these "extend your car's warranty" jerks is to turn it into a sex call:

* press 1
* the agent eventually comes on the line
Her:  Would you like more information about our warranty program?
Me:  No, I'd like more information about the kind of panties you're wearing.
Her:  I'm sorry, I can't give you that information.
Me:  Awe... come on!
Her:  hangs up

So either these jerks are somehow faking their phone number (unlikely) or they've record a "this number is disconnected or no longer in service" *answering message*.  When I dialed them back, I got the standard familiar message but I just pressed lots of keys and it *didn't* do the classic response.  They're faking a disconnected phone number in other words.

I just got a call on MY cell with that number, too. Who is Robert? LOL

I Was Out on the road driving...I have a TX cell fonr number but I live in western OK..anywho. The number called and I didn't answer because I didn't recoginize the number so I calld back and needless to say It was Disconnected..and I Googled the area Code and here I am..how wicked...I Have One Thang to say ""EagleEye"" watch it...anywho ""I well keep checking for updates..

Received an automated car warranty renewal pitch.  Federal Trade Commission where are you?  Waiting 31 days after registering a telephone number on the National Do Not Call registry is too long.  Added my cell phone number to the National Do Not Call registry on October 4.

I also got a call from this number. I didnt answer and you shouldnt either.

It would be interesting to see what service you use, to see if there is a pattern there.

This call was to my spare Virgin Mobile cell phone.

freaked me out was in the middle of class at school none the less and my phone starts buzzing in my pocket.  I was like what the hell seriously who's calling me during school i didn't even try to answer. Good to know it was a scam call ill block the number

This number called and did not leave a message.  Glad I checked this site.

Be very careful of these types of calls, I have recieved many re: insurance notice, very important message " please remain on hold, even phone numbers that are not very familar. If they can't leave a message then it must not be important. If you do pickup and recieve these types of recordings, just hangup. If the phone number is not familar, no need to worry just don't pickup.

I got a call from this number too, but did not pick it up. when i google the number i got this name too. very strange
