Recording said Julie Smith from IRS.  I called back and a woman who claimed to be Julie Smith's supervisor repeated that she was with IRS and asked me if I had a lawyer and if I knew about the lawsuit against me.  Of course, there is no suit I'm aware of.  I asked for information and she asked for my Tax ID number (SSN).  I told her I wasn't comfortable giving this out over the phone and she replied that she couldn't confirm who I was and therefore could not give me info.

I said I feel the same way about her, and asked her to send me a letter.  She hung up.  SCAM !!

Yes, this is scam. Do not fall for it!  The voice was terrible, some type of ladies accented computer voice.

Called back Indian accent man said he was IRS, there was a lawsuit against me and tried to get ss# I started prying and was told to just hang up and wait for the police ! Then he hung up on me !
I'm hiding under the bed now 😩

SCAM do not give any information to this  pepole. IRS always send letters.

I had the same girl call my landline a few minutes ago.
She said the police was on their way to me and that I was not to use my driver's licence.
That I would get 5yr of jail

My wife just got the same creepy call from "Julie Smith".  Creepy, hard to understand voice.  Phone number not based from any IRS landline.  It was a landline call, though.  The message clearly attempts to intimidate.  Do not respond to this.  

Yes same here. Julie Smith IRS and was sooooo obviously a scam. i texted back and told her she is too stupid to be successful in this line of work & GFY.

Called twice today second time left message, never said who they were or what is was about, female repeated the number twice and said call this number before we take action, called back rang twice and then nothing

FIRST THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND GOVERNMENT DOES NOT WORK ON HOLIDAY.
INDIVIDUAL STATES HE IS AN IRS AGENT AND READS A BUNCH OF WORDS ABOUT IRS RULES AND TRYS TO GAIN INFORMATION FROM YOU THAT YOU ARE BEING AUDITED.  
ASK WHAT OFFICE HE WAS FROM AND TOLD ME WASHINGTON DC ASKED WHICH OFFICE AND HUNG UP ON ME.
CALLED BACK  AND MY NUMBER WAS BLOCKED SO I CALLED HIM ON MY CELL PHONE AND HE WENT ON TO TELL ME HE WAS IRS SPECIAL AGENT SO SO AND HE NEEDED ME TO PAY MY BACK TAXES OR THEY WOULD TAKE EVERYTHING EVEN MY BIRTHDAY.  SO AFTER I TOLD HIM I WORKED FOR IRS HE CUT MY CALL OFF. I REPORTED HIM TO THE CRIMINAL INVESTIGATION OFFICE AT IRS WITH HIS PHONE NUMBER.   HE WAS DUMB ENOUGH TO LEAVE A VOICE MESSAGE THAT WAS RECORDED FOR PLAYBACK

Got the call and experienced the similar thing today. I called back serveral times, they became impatient. they said they are ISIS and I think it could be true since they are the same stupid.

Just got a call from this number on my pre-paid cell phone at 5am.  First, a pre-paid cell phone has no name attached to it and its not legal for IRS or any agency to call at 5am.  Total scam!!!

Recorded message saying that a call from Revenue Department and need to pay the dues.  When I called back that number, it was not going through.

Same creepy voice, giving orders to call back and not to ignore phone call or they (IRS) would take action. LOL i have no pending matters with IRS. and would the IRS finish a message with "call back and take care"?
